I ordered a side of onion rings with an original hamburger. The ring were different from previous times I have eaten there. They were HORRIBLE. Tasted nothing like onions, more like greasy oily popcorn. Why do they change something that used to be good. Oh I know, cheaper for the same overpriced item. Don't order them.

Heres the deal. GSR used to have an AMAZING buffet called The Lodge. It was 7.77 for locals and was five stars. Then the tar ds at gsr decided to shut it down and re-open as an upper class buffet called Elements. Minimum to get it....25 dollars! Tried it once. Food was gross. Dog food compared to the chefs that once cooked at The Lodge. Another Reno/Sparks treasure destroyed. Zero stars.

While at a wedding reception downstairs the maid stole cash,credit card, ATM card and checks from my purse. When I notified Security they told me this type of thing does not happen here. Really? Then they asked my daughters questions like they stole it. I told them I would be checking out early they asked why. Well I have no cash or ATM card how are we to eat? The rooms are dirty and the staff in the convention center are rude and not helpful. Good luck if you are staying here!!!!!

Just loved the Grand Sierra in Reno .....been there twice and going back again !!..Everyone there is so friendly... service is great..and lots to do ....oh yeah...love the pool!!...see ya soon !!

We loved the cinema. The rest of the hotel was really bad, the buffet is advertised at $7.77, but what they don't tell you is that it's for locals only, we payed $42.00 for 2 people and got sick, I ended up at the emergency room. Another guest had a very similar experience with vomitting. Every thing is very expensive and no amenities for the price. The so called cabanas are for rent! There was an inch of dust on the headboards and everything else. The furniture was so run down they used black tape to keep it together. And this was at the Sierra! Our bathroom didn't even have a toilet paper dispenser, what is that all about! we'll never stay there again!

The Grand Sierra was the cleanist Vegas/Reno hotel I have ever visited.We stayed on the upper floors called the summit it was like a 30.00 buck upgrade.The room was spotless as well as the Casino they must have some super kind of vent system in there. The security was awesome not overdone like most casinos. The room was amazing I loved the huge TV and a TV in the restroom...get out a here!..too cool!! There was no HD signal but who cares open the blinds and check out the mountains...The decor was great as well totally IKEA but it was trendy and up-to-date unlike some of the other ""old School"" casinos I have visited.\r \r It is right down the raod from the airport and away from the strip great location with a awesome view.

I stayed there over Father's day weekend. We got one of the new suites at the Summit. The room was nice and comfortable. It had a nice 42 inch Plasma but all the channels were in Standard Definition. The pool is a Vegas style area. It has a bar and cabanas for rent. On weekends it doubles as a club so be sure you ask for a room away from the pool.\r \r The arcade for kids was not as great as advertised. It is a nice open area but not that many games. I do like that the area is away from the casino so you do not get the smoky feel like Circus Circus. The casino is clean. They have a small but adequate non-smoking area with slots and a virtual Black Jack Table for those who care.\r \r Since I was with my kids we opted for the buffet over one of their fine dining options. The buffet was such a disappointment. We went for Father's Day brunch and I would have to say that Circus Circus has a better buffet (which is not saying much).\r \r Overall I enjoyed my stay. There are a few areas they have to improve. They water park will be a nice addition. I will return.

Terrible service. Reservations not honored. (Reservations made 3 wks in advance, for a double, but were forced to stay in a single. Somehow, they expected 4 adults to sleep in a room designed for 2. BTW, they ran out of roll away beds, so all they had to offer, bedding-wise, were just sheets. No blankets or pillows. There seemed to be a shortage of ordinary hotel items.) Does not live up to standards expected of a Hilton Hotel. Service equated that of a Motel 6. Do not stay at this hotel--you will be severely disappointed. A happy weekend ruined by their calous service.

This place is great. I remember the old days when it was the MGM and packed with Oscar statues. With the jai alai court in the back. Even now, there's bowling, a driving range, tons of shopping. The rooms are nice and the suites are outrageous. Rates are a bargain on weekdays.
