I have been a fan of this restaurant for several years. This review is being written from recently having a VERY disappointing experience when dining with 5 other family members. I also am writing the review because of the nature in which the manager handled the situation. Since I do frequent this restaurant I am aware of the quality of the food that can be offered. During my last and probably final visit my family and I waited 35 minutes to receive our salads. The wait would of been fine except for the fact when our salads were finally served we were not given the normal dinner salad that is usually offered and that was also offered to the table of 20 sitting next to my table. Apparently during the 35 minute wait time they didn't have enough clean salad plates and ours was served on a saucer size plate with maybe 5 leaves of lettuce and was missing many of the ingredients that are usually served and that were served to everyone around us. If I was to compare this salad to what I was used to getting I would say it was about 1/4 of the usual salad. I was confused by the salad situation and planned on saying nothing until one of the members in our party didn't receive the proper meal. The chicken parm was served with what we think was veal and was burned! Honestly it was sliced so thin that the manager was not even sure what meat we were looking at. Also the portion of pasta which is usually quite hardy was about 1/4 of the normal serving i was used to receiving. It was pathetic. At this point i decided to take action with the manager on duty, No use checking in with our waitress for she never checked on us the entire meal. I called the manager to the table and explained. He told me he was sorry and that was not acceptable. So what action did he take? Offered to fill our water glass and apologized for it being hot in the restaurant? Yes.. that really made us feel better! Neither of those situations were a problem for us. He ended up making the chicken parm meal to go. Just the chicken part I might add no pasta. Not a good solution in my mind and he brought us a few dessert treats of which we had no choice and was not something my family even likes. I suppose it being a holiday weekend they were just trying to push people through the restaurant to collect their money. They should keep in mind that many of their cliental are revisits. Oh.. the bill for this horrible experience? We paid it all except for the $4 up charged on a 2 caesar salads. Found that to be the cheapest "solution" in the managers mind. Obviously he totally skirted the issue. He of course did not seem to mind that I was leaving very dissatisfied with this experience. I have recommended this restaurant in the past to friends and family but will no longer do so.

I love this restaurant! They have the best Italian cuisine, not just in the Rehoboth Beach area, but in my opinion, the entire state of Delaware. The pizza is the best I have had in this area. I had just about given up hope on finding "real" pizza down the beach. Every dish I have gotten has been the best Italian food I have ever had. The desserts are sinfully delicious...Zabaglione,with fresh strawberries! (I hope I spelled it correctly)! The atmosphere is nice-it's small and comfortably intimate. The people who work there are very nice and attentive-yet they give you your privacy.



It's a great restaurant and the food is wonderful :) I wish somebody would take me on a date there. It's truly beautiful.
