Coats Auto Body and Paint

Amazing job! My car was rear-ended over the summer, and the guys at Coats restored the metal framework perfectly. My car actually looks as new as when I bought it years ago. They have a customer for life.

I was broadsided by a drunk driver and had to have my new-to-me truck repaired. The work was great. Fast,good quality and no cutting corners. Due to truck aging the color was off slightly. I wasn't happy. Mgr didn't want to fix. But Jim(owner) came out, looked at it and w/o hesitation said nope "we are fixing it! It needs to be right!" He got me a rental and two days later it was perfect! I'll never go anywhere else! This company truly wants the customer to be happy! This quality is hard to come by anymore. But not at COATS!

Can't say enough! Awesome staff, technicians, mechanics, treated with compassion and respect! Car looked like new, after getting hit by a huge truck!!

I have patronized Coats several times over the last few years and they have always done an exceptional job. The owners, Tana and Jim Malerba treat you as a valued respected customer and ensure that their staff and work done uphold these standards. They strive and exceed expectations consistantly. 

I recently had a car accident and thankfully no one was hurt but my wife and I were very upset that it happened when I was traveling out-of-state in NJ and couldn't bring it to Coats as they are the only Auto Body shop I trust to do excellent work guaranteed! 

Well, now We have a teenager driving and our only peace of mind is knowing where we'll be going for outstanding service and treatment!

I have been a customer with Coats Auto Body and Paint for many years, I have had several cars repairs, especially now that I have a teenage driver. They are always so helpful and patient, especially when I ask the numerous questions I always have. I have found them to be both fair and honest and was very impressed by the wonderful reviews I see for them online and with the better business bureau. I would never bring my car anywhere else, way to go Coats - keep up the good work.

I have been frequenting Coats Auto Body since 2003 when the current owners Jim and Tana purchased the company. I have been very pleased with every repair that has been done, and have been here about 10 or more times so far. They have great customer service and anything that is not right with the car gets taken care of quickly. I recommend this business highly and almost wish it was a "restaurant" this way I can come in everyday to visit. EVERYTHING IS GREAT! J.C.

Coats Auto Body does an outstanding job. We have taken our cars to them for years and the work has always been done on time, within budget and when we get the car back it looks brand new. This is a family run business that we are so fortunate to have in our community. They go the extra mile! We would not go any place else.

I had an estimate done on my car and, after discussing with my insurance company, decided to go ahead with the work at coats autobody. After the work was scheduled and forms were signed, I was contacted by the owner who told me he did not want to do the work on car. I am guessing that one of his employees underbid the work and he realized it once I went ahead with it. Their estimate was lower than anyone else's and that is part of the reason I chose them. Very disappointed and will not be recommending this shop.

Coats Auto Body is First Class all the way! I've had my vehicle repaired there several times and the body work was excellent! You could never tell that my vehicle was in an accident and it always looked like a brand new vehicle when everything was complete. As an insurance agent, when my clients call me and ask where to bring their vehicles to have it repaired, I highly recommend them to go to Coats Auto Body, if they want it repaired properly and in a timely manner. Tana and Jim Malerba, the owners, along with the rest of their staff, always go the extra mile to make sure I was completely satisfied with the finish product. They are all such professional and caring people that always have your best interests in mind. All my clients love them as well. They also do great mechanical work as well! This body shop is awesome!

If you need body work on your car or painting I would highly recommend Coats Auto Body and Paint. Several years ago someone hit the rear of my car and the bumper needed to be replaced. My insurance company gave me 3 options of companies they work with and I chose Coats due to their location. They were efficient, friendly, and did a fabulous job. Then only two weeks later a pickup truck with a big bug on top (an exterminator) hit the back of my car and my bumper had to be replaced again! Once again Coats took care of me. Their work is top notch and they couldn't be nicer. I have recommended them to many people over the years...I have total confidence in them and know they stand behind their work 100%.

Coats did an exceptional job on my vehicle. The owners are professional, caring people and have the best staff. What is always an aggravating situation (car accident/damage), they take the stress out of the repair process. My car looked like new when I recieved it back. It's one year later and absolutely no sign that it was ever repaired. They guarantee their work and use quaility products to go along with their highly qualified workers. I am so happy with the work that Coats did on my car!! I had someone look at fixing my hood a while back but was very nervous about how it would turn out so I put it off. I recently moved to Raleigh and worked closely with Coats customers for a couple months. After seeing their work and how happy their customers were, I decided to see if they could fix my car and it turned out to be a fantastic decision! The hood of my car had big scratches over it that were starting to rust a bubble the paint on top, now it looks like nothing ever happened!



The work that I have seen Coats do over the past months has really impressed me but even more important than that is how they treat their customers. They really take great care of them. From the time that they walk in the door the staff is helpful and friendly. Getting your car fixed can be very stressful, especially if you've been in an accident. But they seem to put their customers at ease and gives them confidence that their car will be fixed with great skill and in a timely manner.

i was guided thoroughly throughout the repair process. i could look at pictures of my car online in various stages of repair. i had no problems with my repair and the company even fixed some paint scratches not related to my accident. i will trust them for all my future repairs. Mark B

My car was involved in a hit and run accident in sept of 08. I needed a new bumper, tail light and some other paint work.I was very frustrated I had to get my car fixed and had to pay for it because someone else was too rude to stop. The entire staff at Coats was great and made me feel like family. The car was ready in 2 days and looked wonderful. I was so excited with a job well done by Coats. I will recommend them to anyone, but hope I won't need to use them anytime soon. Thanks again everyone.

I used Coats to repair my 2007 Silverado after I accidentally bumped into another car. My Husband was furious but by the time they finished the repairs you couldn't even tell it was damaged.
