To date I have waited 6 months to get my $379 rebate from Rebate International. They show they issued it 3 times. First issue was 12-24-14. I initially contacted the Princeton Menard's, where I made all the purchases that they advertised with rebates. Menard's say they have nothing to do with the rebates. How can that be, when they advertise in their store the price after rebate? They entice customers to buy because of the rebate, then the customer does everything they are instructed (filling out rebate forms, sending them in by a deadline) and all should be right in the world.

Whoa...what if it doesn't work out, like Menard's representation of the rebates?

Since Menard's won't stand behind their customers to assure we get the rebates, I was forced to email this

Rebate International. They have no phone number for customer service. I can understand why. I'm thinking they would have to hire a tremendous work force to handle complaints, like mine.

After corresponding for months with one of their reps, Justin, and not receiving the 2nd issue they said they sent, I asked

if I could please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to assure its delivery to me. Justin gave me permission and provided the address for me to send my self-addressed stamped envelope along with the copy of his email. My take from his email was that this wasn't a normal practice, it wouldn't be done on a regular basis and it would take more time.

I checked my rebate status and they say they issued it on 6-4-15. Getting close to 2 weeks that I have been waiting to see my self-addressed stamped envelop arrive with my rebate enclosed. Once again, I'm losing hope because regular letter delivery wouldn't take 10 days but I can't do anything until 30 days after issue.

If anybody is reading this review, can you understand that I don't believe it was ever sent the first time! I have received smaller rebates at my address, this is ridiculous!

I think my next step will be contacting the Attorney General in the state Rebate International is based. I encourage anyone else who has or is experiencing this same thing, to contact them also. This is wrong. Not only should Rebate International be accountable but Menards should also have accountability because they represented it.

Words of advise: Never send several rebates in one envelope that they would total a large amount of money. Break them down in smaller amounts. Rebates I have received in the past have never been over $100. I regret sending in this large of rebate but I was trusting in what Menard's advertise to be true.

Overall
The Wal-Mart of hardware,

Menards has an excellent selection of most hardware and lumber items. The staff (when you can find them) seems knowledgeable, but if you do not know exactly what you need to do, I highly recommend the local hardware store.
The prices at Menards are usually lower than the local hardware store but personal service is generally lacking.
I do most of my shopping at Menards because of the prices. I would rather shop at the endangered local hardware if it were more competitive on price and selection.
