The best lattes! Their lunch buffet is a great value. I love to put both alfredo and marinara sauce on my pasta.

Provided by DexKnowsThis place was a fortunate find. When my husband and I first walked up to the restaurant, I thought it would be small inside. When I entered I felt like I had stepped into a home. This does not just happen to me at any restaurant. The place is huge! It just kept growing and growing as we walked back. The decor is very warm and inviting. I enjoy how much they use wood and grapes in their decor. I especially enjoy the lighting. The food is delicious. Almost everything made from scratch, I find this to be rare in a restaurant these days. Everyone working there is caring and enjoyable, especially the manager Ann. She got us in quickly and came by to check on us after the meal. When I left I felt that I had visited some place special, like when my mother takes me to dinner in other states or countries, and yet Ernesto's still felt like home and was in my backyard.

Provided by DexKnowsBoth my husband and I love this place, friendly staff,great drinks and wonderful food. We always go in the bar and the atmosphere is very friendly and warm with alot of regulars there which is the sign of a good place, it is one of of our favorite places to go.

Provided by DexKnowsThis is our favorite restaurant! Great food in a great atmosphere! I never liked spaghetti until I tried Ernesto's spagheeti with meat sauce.
Ernestos is a nice family owned Italian restaurant. It has awesome food and friendly service. I have eaten here plenty of times, and have always enjoyed myself. Anyone that wants a good home cooked meal with great service, should come and experience it. Become a regular like most of our customers.

- General Info
- Mike Ceccanti, owner of Ernesto's Italian Restaurant, grew up in the family restaurant business. His grandfather, Ernesto Ceccanti, emigrated to the U.S. in 1922 from the Tuscany region of Italy with his wife Emilia and opened the Monte Carlo restaurant in Portland in 1927. Eventually his parents, Elio and Lorie Ceccanti took the reins and opened a second Monte Carlo restaurant in Raleigh Hills in 1982. By age 7 Mike was making raviolis in his grandfather's kitchen, went on to learn more of the family secrets, and has been going strong ever since. It's no surprise that Mike has continued the family traditions of providing moderately priced casual dining with a healthy dose of Old World charm added to the mix. In 1987 Mike and his wife Jackie bought the Raleigh Hills Monte Carlo restaurant and renamed it Ernesto's Italian Restaurant in honor of his grandfather. Building on his family's traditional Italian recipes, Mike has added his own creations such as Seafood Fettuccini and Pasta Classico. While the offerings have evolved a little over time to suit the tastes of each generation, you can count on finding generous portions of good homemade Italian food in a comfortable environment. Here you'll find such classics as Spaghetti and Meatballs, Lasagna, Veal Parmigianino and Fettuccini Alfredo, as well as legendary homemade Pizza and Calzones. And not to be missed are our specialty soups, created by our own Chef John Schroeder.
