My wife and I just got divorced.
I found out from my ex-wife (during the divorce) that Robin told her the type of IRA she has would not have to be shared with me in the divorce. This is factually incorrect. Robin should stick to financial council not legal council.
Once the divorce has gone through we start splitting up the IRA as Oregon law states. I received a call from Robin's office telling me they're talking to my ex on the 5th and they'll call me on the 6th. I got no phone call so I called Robin's office. Megan tells me they need to find out from my ex how she wants the money pulled out of the stocks.
Two weeks passes. No phone call. I contact my ex to find out she signed the paperwork 1-2 weeks ago for the transfer. So I call Robin's office. I try explaining I'm annoyed because no one called me but Megan continues to cut me off. Angering me further. She tells me I'll have to talk to Robin but she's out of the office the entire week (I believe it was Tuesday). I refused to have to wait to talk to Robin. Megan tells me she'll call the home office to see if the funds are available. She does a good job and calls me right back and tells me the funds are in fact available all I have to do is come in to sign the paperwork. I just wanted to make sure my money was secure.
It took me a few days to make it to their office because I work late but when I arrived Megan tries to get me to sign a form accepting stocks from my ex's accounts. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!
It's like Robin is doing everything she can to not have to sell stocks so I can invest where I want to. It was very clear I wanted cash in my account but they're trying to give me my ex's stock so when I go to sell I might lose money on them.
I feel Robin has been very one sided the whole time and not being available to help.
If you want an investor you can't easily meet with and has a security guard taking all her calls, is very one sided and likes to delay, Robin is your girl.
