Sedation Dentistry: If a gentle and compassionate touch is not enough for you, then consider sedation dentistry. I have been doing sedation dentistry for over 15 years with tremendous success. After performing well over 500 cases, I can't recall one single patient who was not satisfied with their sedation dental appointment. At Pittsburgh Dental Spa, I offer several types of sedation. The extremely anxious patient who wants to sleep through their procedure will benefit from I.V. sedation. With I.V. sedation the entire patient's work can be done in one visit. If the patient prefers sedation that is not so deep, then oral sedation will do the trick. The typical oral sedation protocol consists of three pills usually in combination with nitrous oxide sedation.
