Desert Mission Food Bank provides food for individuals and families in crisis. Its emergency food program serves more than 5,000 people each month. The organization helps eligible, low-income families stretch their food budget by purchasing food at reduced prices. Its commodity supplemental program is a federally funded monthly food program that provides food to infants and pregnant and nursing women. Desert Mission Food Bank also offers canned meat, vegetables, soaps, shampoos, deodorants, razors and toilet papers. Located in Phoenix, the organization is a part of John C. Lincoln Health Network, which is comprised of hospitals, physician practices and community outreach programs.
