Founded in 1971, The Art Institute of Philadelphia is a private college that offers a variety of educational opportunities to students. The college has an enrollment of more than 3,700 students. It provides programs and degrees in the fields of advertising, culinary management and digital filmmaking, as well as fashion design and marketing. The Art Institute of Philadelphia offers programs in industrial design technology, media arts and animation, photography, and visual effects and motion graphics. The college also provides diploma courses in baking and pastry making. It maintains computer laboratories and video and photography studios, as well as an industrial design shop and restaurant.
