Rise P. Newman, Esquire is the principal of the Law Offices of Rise P. Newman, LLC. She concentrates her practice in estate administration, probate, estate planning, elder law, and guardianship work.
Ms. Newman is a current co-chair, for a second term, of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Elder Law Committee. During her co-chairmanship, she spearheaded a committee to write and organize a guardianship manual for the County of Philadelphia for use by attorneys serving as guardians for incapacitated individuals. The Guardianship Handbook is completed and a draft has been included in the Probate and Trust Section of the Philadelphia Bar.
Ms. Newman currently serves on the executive board of the Philadelphia Bar Association Probate & Trust Section and is proud to be board member of Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. She is a member of both the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and is a frequent lecturer for National Business Institute.
Ms. Newman has been recognized as a 2011 “Rising Star” in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star edition. See June Philadelphia Magazine Page S-85 for details! This is her second recognition, having received the same selection in 2010.
When she is not in the office, Ms. Newman enjoys walking on the Schuylkill River Walk, and listening to American Routes with her husband.
