General Info
Philadelphia's Best Kosher RestaurantCome enjoy classic Israeli dishes at the Premier Kosher Restaurant in Philadelphia. When owner Sharon Abergel wanted to take his wife to celebrate an occasion or have an enjoyable dairy meal in their Philadelphia neighborhood, they had no place to go. So he did something about it. He opened up Espresso Cafe & Sushi Bar. That was June 2004. Today, with Espresso Cafe's Kosher Menu, everyone in Philadelphia has a place they can go to, thanks to Sharon. Sharon is an easy going guy who believes that if you're genuine and give customers what they want, they'll appreciate it and come back. He will make sure that everyone's dining experience is excellent so that every customer that comes for the first time, will undoubtedly come for a 2nd, 3rd and 4th time. He knows his food is excellent. With a full kosher menu, everything is made on premises with the freshest ingredients. For breakfast try one of their superb pastries or omelettes. In fact, they have 7 different omelettes, all made with 3 eggs and garnished with fresh garden vegetables and served with bread and butter. For lunch, a great way to begin the meal is to have the French Onion Soup. It's full of sliced onions, lightly spiced croutons, all topped with mozzarella cheese. Kosher and simply delicious! You can follow that with a perfectly toasted sesame-seed baguette wheel, with tuna, cheese, olives and hard boiled egg. There are plenty of salads to choose from as well as specialty items such as Carpacho, Malawah and Burekas. Of course, you may be in the mood for a cheesy or saucy pasta dish or a tasty fish, like the St. Peter's Talapia served with Tahini sauce and pine nuts. To round out their menu, they also offer a number of sushi rolls. And one would be remiss, not to try one of their homemade desserts combined with a nice, hot cappuccino. -The restaurant's kosher menu Rabbinical Supervision comes from Community Kashrus of Philadelphia.
