Overall

Worst spa corporation and customer service ever. These people are dishonest. They will lie to you repeatedly. They will not admit fault or compensate you in any way. I am now out $2000 because I received a gift card for a membership to the health club managed by this spa because they stopped managing membership 8 days ago! They told my husband that the only way to give a health club membership as a gift is with this gift card. I wasted my afternoon on the phone with 2 different managers today and the best suggestions the main spa manager could offer were to: A) Get $2000 worth of spa services--even though the card was purchased in the exact amount of a health club membership because it was meant to be used for that purpose! B) Give the gift card away!!! --the gift card that I received as a Christmas gift from my husband!! C) Should have used the gift card sooner and could have avoided this issue. The incompetence and unacceptable service I experienced today has left me fuming to the point of tears--I now have a $2000 gift card for a spa that I would rather never set foot in again.

I want to tell you about an amazing hair care professional. His name is Daniel Citro and he is extremely knowledgeable about hair. His talent really shines when giving a haircut. I am very picky about my hair. I first met Daniel in Princeton NJ. I was referred to him by a skin care specialist who trained and worked in NYC. When I called to make an appointment with him (after going to him twice) I discovered he had left. I made a concerted effort to track him down. I found him at the Adolf Biecker Salon in Philadelphia. When he gives a haircut, my hair looks good without having to use a curling iron, etc. I can blow it dry and it looks great. I have shoulder length plus hair. After he cuts it, when I pull it back, it looks full and even. I can not say that about cuts from some other people I have encountered. I currently live in the Midwest. I wait to get my hair cut when I travel East. If I need to, I just have it trimmed until I can make an appointment with him. Just describe to him what you would like. He will make every effort to accommodate your wishes, but will give you his opinion. I have learned a great deal about caring for and styling my hair by listening to him. Daniel has trained in Italy and has worked and (I believe) trained in New York also. In my opinion, he is highly respected in his profession. If you are looking for someone to give you a truly great haircut, book an appointment with Daniel. Just do it! You won't be sorry. Enjoy! If you are in a hurry and choose the valet parking, they validate your ticket for a 25% discount.

Overall
Incompetent stylists, hideous results

I had the misfortune of visiting the Adolf Biecker salon two days before my sister's wedding, when I was in a rush for a manicure and some new makeup. An absolutely disastrous visit. I wish I had never gone there. My manicure peeled off within 24 hours, and the makeup advice that I received from Rachel could not have been more erroneous. Rachel didn't listen to my preferences and concerns, she just went ahead and made me up as she would make herself up. I told her I liked the lipstick that I was wearing, but she wiped it off and gobbed on lip gloss that made my mouth look like it was bleeding, then dabbed gold powder in the middle of my lower lip, resulting in an ugly, unflattering mess. I told her that I loved the Aveda translucent loose powder in Fair but she insisted I purchase the powder foundation because she uses it everyday, even though I didn't need it, as I already have great skin. Worse, she chose a color that was too light, without reminding me to test it out in natural light. The lighting in the salon is so unnatural that I could not tell how wrong it was for me, especially since I was distracted by the nasty lip cosmetics. Of course, her colleagues at the salon all gushed about how pretty my makeup was. Wrong! Having stupidly followed Rachel's advice to purchase the powder foundation--and she was very persuasive despite my stated preference otherwise-- I looked downright ugly at my sister's wedding, like a dead clown or a vampiress, with the photos to prove it. I have never received such poor results from a salon visit. Now I must live with the most embarrassing pictures ever taken of me at my sister's wedding. Unforgivable.

Stay away from this place and go somewhere else, where the beauty experts listen to what you want and deliver it.
