Moving Pro

We moved my daughter from NYC to Los Angeles.
I was concerned when we contracted to use this company. The 5 star reviews come in clusters which I felt were shill reviews. The 1 star reviews unnerved me some. Then, after I signed the contract, there was trouble getting hold of the sales rep as the phone #s had ''changed''. After multiple conversations, I trusted the sales rep & decided to go with this company. I liked that they had their own trucks & weren't a broker.
The cost came in higher 20-30% as we had 10+ extra suitcases &duffels as well as 15-20 pictures that weren't in the original estimate. They charged based on the depth of the truck that was used. It seemed legitimate to me, though I wanted to see the first mark to have clarity. Their added price was slightly less than first class mover quotes for the original estimated weight.
We offered a small bonus to have it delivered 6 days after pickup so my daughter could move in right away.
The 3 packers did a great job & repacked many of our poorly packed items as well as 20-30 loose items. The 2 critical items came in perfectly. We gladly tipped them for doing a great job in a difficult building with a tiny elevator. They were pleasant and good natured the entire time.
Coming from NYC they had to use a small truck and transfer the items to a larger truck before heading cross country. It took about 4 hours to pack and load the truck, which I though was very efficient.
One desk, $160, that they packed & $100 of goods inside 2 boxes that we packed were damaged. The 2 movers had a long day arriving to us at 6pm and finished in 3 hours, unpacking every item that was taped in their blankets. One item in the truck fell over with a very loud bang, but nothing was damaged. They were very smooth and gentle with our goods.
The 2 things that were most important to us were having the goods arrive undamaged and on Nov 6, her move in date, as my wife and I were only available for 5 more days. They accomplished both!

We had a terrible experience with the company. When i signed the contract, our sales person, Zack, was very kind and told us that he will be in each step in order to provide us a great experience . Part of the verbal agreement was that delivery time would be just a few day.. Pick up on Thursday and by Sunday we were supposed to receive our staff; however, as per paperwork purposes i was needing to signed a contract that will say a longer time.. Three days before the pick up, Jennifer (customer service) called and said that it will take up to 20 business days.. After that i was not able to contact my sales person ever again.. no even to apologizes or clarify any misunderstanding.. Thank you Zack!! When the truck arrived the price was over $1K higher than estimate.. Even that we only had 5 more boxes.. ok.. the people that picked up said that usually it takes just a few days to don't be worried.. I started calling on Monday and Jennifer lied to us all the time.. she said that the truck was making a couple of stops before heading to Florida and it was in Virginia.. Wednesday i called and she said that actually the truck was leaving NJ on Saturday when on Monday she said something different.. I asked her to talked to the owner.. and she said that he will call later.. he never called us.. Jennifer was kind of rude and keep saying that we signed a contract with the delivery times.. I asked her to listened to the conversation with Zack. She did it and to compensate us she offer us $150 refund but she send a contract that we can not make any complaint about anything.. another scam legal document.. When My boxes arrived the driver told us that he picked up the boxes four days ago.. That means that the week and a half before Jennifer was lying to us.. i didn't took the $150 because i prefer to share this bad experience in order to avoid other people to be scammed by Moving Pro.. Worst customer service ever and full of lies... we waited almost two week for our boxes..

This review is lengthy, but please read it, especially if you’re not a New Jersey resident making a long distance move. I have moved across the state line 5 times using North American Van Lines, this review is about the mistake I made by not contracting North American Van Lines for my April 20 Pennsylvania to Florida move. Thinking back, I made my first mistake by logging onto Home Advisor to find a moving company. My second mistake was when I hired Moving Pro, in Passaic, NJ without contacting North American Van Lines to get their estimate first.
The First issue with Moving Pro that made me very angry, was of course the charges. My binding costs went from $2300-$3600, Because Moving Pro in Passaic, NJ does not do home estimates-they tried to estimate your household size by square feet using the telephone!
The Second issue with Moving Pro that made me very angry, was the delivery time. My pick up day was April 20 in the Philadelphia suburbs, my delivery date was May 3 to the Orlando suburbs. The agent from Moving Pro stated the move and could contractually take 14 business days, but he stated “they usually deliver in 3 to 5 days.” Accepting this information was my third mistake, you count the days-it’s 13 and that’s a long time to wait, renting a hotel room!
The Third issue with Moving Pro that made me very angry is the middleman, although I don’t know who that was. The contents of my house were picked up by three courteous and professional moving men. The contents of my home where delivered by two men and one woman, also very courteous and professional. But the middleman are the people that transferred my goods from the box truck that picked up, to the semi trailer that delivered. As I said in the beginning of this review, I have had five moves across the state line with North American Van Lines-NEVER have I had as many damages as I have Experienced with Moving Pro in Passaic, NJ!!!! Yes, I will be filing damages.

Packing was excellent. Items were wrapped well to keep my furniture protected. Descriptions were good on cartons. Men were great…

We had the best team possible. They arrived on time, were so pleasant and worked efficiently. I would highly recommend this team (if they always work together) for a move. They helped me by first taking half of the furniture and boxes to our storage and then came with me to drop the other half to FedEx ship center. They also waited for me to make sure FedEx was able to deliver said boxes. They never complained and made the hassle of moving a breeze.

Moving Pro is awesome!! I could not be happier with my move. From the first phone call til the crew left my new house, the company and every employee were courteous, competent, and professional. The crew leader handled and explained everything so well. The rest of the crew were all fantastic too. Super professional, efficient, and friendly. They packed and moved the contents of my 2-bedroom house and all the stuff in the 2-car garage in a mere 7 hours, which I would not have imagined was humanly possible. Their efficiency saved me a bunch of money over the not-to-exceed quote I received. All of my things were handled with care - and put exactly where I wanted in my new house. I chose Moving Pro because of the excellent customer reviews I saw here and on Angie's List, and they absolutely delivered. It was worth every penny. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. And if I could request this same crew again I would! Thanks Moving Pro!!

Excellent moving company. The last company we moved with broke things and refused to take responsibility for it. They called ahead to verify and were on time and very fast. Can't recommend these guys enough.

THE BEST MOVERS IN TOWN!!! This is The most pleasant move I've ever had!!! They are professional, punctual, courteous, and seem to love their job. They are friendly and move expeditiously and with purpose. They didn't drag their feet and try to milk the process like other companies I have hired that charge by the hour. I can't say enough about how satisfied I am. I would recommend them to any and every one in search of movers!!!

* Will NOT damage your furniture or walls. Very careful with your stuff.

* Price is decent (not expensive but not dirt cheap)

But totally worth the money and they're transparent about costs. They will advise against doing certain things to save time and money. Honest, capable, hardworking, guys with really good attitudes. For that, I will always give great ratings.

I was moving from jersey to Florida and there was no way I was doing it myself, so I did a basic move with moving pro and they were great. Their sales team was wonderful and everything was perfect with their customer service department. No matter what I was going at, they were seriously really good. Moving pro was reliable and easy to work with.

I moved with moving pro a few times. Every single time I called them almost last minute because of all of the things that pertain to moving besides hiring a company. They had availability for me last minute at a very competitive price, and delivered on their promises. All of moving companies have negative and positive reputation, but everybody who reads this needs to understand that a lot of times it's based on the relationship between customer and representative. If you are detailed and thorough with moving pro about your needs, then expect them to adjust to your needs. These guys are definitely the grid iron of the moving companies. From making sure you know what's going to be done to actually doing what they say they will, you can trust moving pro to take the stress of moving off your shoulders. Thanks again to moving pro for making what is now hopefully my last transition to Florida. Great family operated company and really take care of their customers.

My move was really smooth and without any problems. I really appreciate it. Everything was just as it is supposed to be - movers were fast and careful, my belongings weren't damaged or broken, and the delivery was on time. This company also has a great customer support. I wish it just was a little bit less expensive. But in general - great job!

My job put me in a bad situation. I had to find a mover in less than a week to get a new position from Connecticut to Florida! First thing I did was freak out because a long distance move with this little notice was terrifying. Next I looked online for some moving companies. I talked to a few and got some quotes. The one that stood out to me was Moving Pro. It was not the cheapest quote I got but after speaking to him and looking some stuff online, I felt like they truly were professionals. I was not mistaken, moving day came and they packed everything so well and so fast! I was surprised with how quickly they got it done and how well they packed my items and the truck. The crew at pickup and delivery was phenomenal. With being so stressed from this last minute move I was just so happy that I went with Moving PRO! They really eased a lot of my stress. Thank you for doing such a good job.

So far it is excellent to the service you guys performed, the people coming in with great attitude and friendly greeting, and smiles. We have sold our investment house and Moving Pro came up when I was looking online for a 5-star company for our move. I got their services and their team timed the move pretty well. Their crew was professional and we were impressed with the way they packed everything. The result was pretty good. I was pleased with the services as well as the way they handled everything over the phone. However, our furniture is in storage for the next month or two so we are not yet done with Moving Pro. Delivering it to the new location and handling it from now on is a whole different story but I hope everything goes well, too.

Moving Pro did a very good job to accommodate all of my concerns. One representative was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, and she made me feel comfortable. I kept calling her because I had some issues and she was really good at responding to my needs. The owner got involved as well. He was great at following up and did everything in his power to address my concerns. Although there were other charges that I didn’t know of which had to do with the actual movers that were sent, it had nothing to do with Moving Pro. I should have read the fine print. Other than that, everybody in the company provided great customer service. Moving Pro is very reasonable in pricing and definitely competitive. They back up what they promise and I highly recommend them. Although not everything went exactly as planned, they did everything that they could to help me with my move and I had a pleasant experience.

Their crew picked up our stuff and delivered it on time at the agreed upon rates. The only thing that I think could be improved upon was the correspondence between the sales and the dispatch in getting confirmation of the pickup and delivery dates. The way that the sales and dispatch were separated can cause more anxiety for the mover. But other than that, our experience with them has been good.

I was very taken by the professionalism and friendliness of the people who came to work at my house. Within a matter of moments, they came in and everything was safely loaded into their vehicles and we were on the way to my new home. Everything arrived in perfect condition and we were ready to unload. It was simple, fast, easy and relatively cheap compared to similar companies. Plus, I always like to be treated like a friend and not a client, and Moving Pro made me feel like I was part of the crew. Will definitely recommend this service to anyone moving.

I was moving in with my girlfriend and decided to use Moving Pro. Their representative was very professional and to the point. The moving crew was polite, speedy, and very helpful. At one point, I was moving a box and since clearly I'm not a professional, it fell through the bottom. They were there right away to help me tape it up.
