Our cat Smokey began gasping for air Christmas time 2020 at night so we rushed her down from
Ohio. The doctor diagnosed her with congestive heart failure and said she might not make it.
he put her on medicine and sent us home.
It is now one year later and she is still with us! She is still on pills and is doing ok.

Do everything you can to keep from taking your pet there. We took our sweet little Harvey and they left him lay on the floor for 45 minutes while they determined our bill without the vet seeing him. Other clients arrived. He was in acute respiratory failure and ended up dying 1/2 hour after we left. We had just left our vets office after he was in oxygen and we had decided to keep him comfortable and calm. If not better in the am we had to decided it was his time. Unfortunately the vet on duty at AVET would not treat him if we did not let her do more testing which stressed him out even more. On our drive there he laid on my feet very calmly and how I wish I had just taken him home and if it was his time to die in peace. Instead he died a terrible death and they told me all that went on with him after we left. Heartbroken. They should have been treating him instead of discussing the bill. Any amount of money we would have paid if we could have saved him. Do not go there if you can avoid it.
