Water Toys Rental

Chris did a great job. We rented a fishing boat and it worked great. We setup the appointment a month ahead of time and he was there to meet us right on time. He always returned calls and was super to work with. We will definitely be back a great place to work with.

I certainly wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. We could have been potential customers in the future but not after how we were treated. First of all, when we called to make a reservation, we called over and over and we only got the answering machine. Almost giving up on the company to make a reservation, we finally got a hold of somebody and we made a reservation. The weird thing about it was, on their website they ask for a deposit. Well they didn't ask us for a deposit. hmm? Anyways, We were getting excited to enjoy the weekend of boating with family and friends. We had roughly 10 of us that were planning this together, all coming from other cities and states. We were told it would be dropped off at a certain time and it was not. It was nearly 2 1/2 hrs later by the time we called them to ask why it had not been dropped off. They had excuses and they said they tried calling us to tell us they were running behind because there was a storm that had ruined one of their other trailers and they were trying to clean things up and fix the other trailer.Well we didn't get a phone call from them at all. What i wonder is, wouldn't they want to deliver a boat that was all ready for us and knowing they would be getting money from us? No, we were put on the back burner and we didn't get a phone call from them saying they were running behind, we would have understood the situation but we had to call them instead to find out they were running behind. We were near the phone all morning and nobody was on it. So when we had asked them what they would do for us since half our day was already waisted away he said he would knock off $100 or he would find someone else that wants their business. Well by that time half the day had waisted away already and all of us sitting around waiting for the boat to arrive. We were not happy. Im pretty sure if i were them I would have offered a free half day of inconvenience and by the time we had the boat it would have been a half day. And since we planned on renting it for 2 days we would have been perfectly happy paying for the full second day. I've been told they are a newer business in town, but they need to work on customer service better. If you want potential future customers you need to work with them and think of them first. This isn't how we planned our weekend to be with our family and friends. Not only will we not call them again but neither will the rest of our friends and family. And word of mouth travels fast. Its too bad i couldn't put a 5 starr review for this company. I'm a business person and i know things happen but a phone call and better customer service could have changed the whole experience.
