Hunt's Oyster Bar & Seafood Restaurant

The food here is the best you can get & the prices are decent. They lose a lot of business though b/c there are people like me that will not wait an hour for a table on a Tuesday afternoon!! Also, my son is in a power wheelchair & it is impossible for him to get through the restaurant. They should either make it bigger or preferably open another one in another part of PC. They would make a fortune!!!

So, after waiting a few weeks and hoping the owner would step up and make things right, I'm here to tell my story. We visited Hunts on July 6th 2015. We have been going for years and have always had a good experience. This time however was the complete opposite. We were told the wait was a little over an hour which was fine. TWO hours later we were finally seated and place our order immediately. While we were waiting for our food an employee came and played an Eminem song on the jukebox. My 12 and 9 yr old daughters got the privilege of listening to Eminem and all his profanity laced creativity. As a father I immediately complained and after the song was over they then unplugged the jukebox. After waiting an hour we finally received our food only for my daughter to be given still FROZEN corn on the cobb. I asked to speak to a manager only to be told there was not one available. Eventually someone came over only to tell us a cook quit. I later found out it was the owners daughter. I paid my bill but then called the next day to speak with the owner. This is a situation where the restaurant completely dropped the ball and should have made it right. I can tell you from working in the restaurant industry that any other place would have taken care of us. I expected our meal to be comped but was only offered 50% off which I never recieved. This will be my last trip to Hunts and I encourage others to do the same. The food is good, not great and there are plenty of other restaurants in Panama City. A place who gives this type of service with no recourse to make things right doesn't deserve to stay in business.

From Birmingham Alabama drove there to eat only , was asked to leave my bar seat for a local and his wife to drink and had to wait on my table and me and my wife were drinking and waiting on our table! Will go to dustys from now own and get bakes oysters even though there's are microwaved

I cannot imagine a trip to PCB without at least 1 trip to Hunts. Fresh oysters for those that enjoy, the seafood is always good and the service excellent. I understand why the locals all eat here. The wait is sometimes long but always worth it.

Wonderful oysters. The side dishes aren't very good, but the fish and shrimp are. Friendly atmosphere, nice place.

The place is small and not that fancy but the food and the prices so well worth it the food will speck for its self a must try you will be happy you did see for yourself

Drove down from Tallahassee to PCB for the day to just kick around. Found this little place the locals hang out at to eat great oysters and other fine seafood. What a great place! The food, service, atmosphere, and clientele are super; it's a family experience. We'll be back.

Awesome place with great food!!! The oysters were fabulous, my only complaint is the small area to eat, but to be honest that's what gives it charm! This is definitly Panama City's best kept secret from the Beach Side!

very clean fun environment for young and old.great service but very busy.waiting area not so fun as it is outside and can be very hot in summer and cold in winter.rain not cool either.prices are good and quantity is acceptable too.family owned and operated.go try it you will go back again!
