The entire scope of our practice begins at birth and extends through adolescence. The care provided includes routine well child appointments, immunizations, physical and developmental assessments, and the treatment of acute and chronic childhood illnesses.

Eye Exam
Procedures. There are procedures that may be done in the office that may not be processed by insurance companies as part of the office visit. Those procedures are billed separately and may be applied to your deductible. Those procedures can include, but are not limited to: wart treatment, eye exam, hearing exam, fluoride treatment or labs done in the office.

Urinary Tract Infection
Symptoms of a urinary tract infection vary based on the age of the child. Infants may present with irritability, fever or foul smelling urine. Older children may grab their genitals, cry and urinate more frequently in addition to those symptoms above. More verbal children often complain of burning or pain with urination. They may wet their pants or lose bladder control at night. It is important to see the doctor so that a urine test can be done to help us properly diagnose and treat this condition.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, better known as ADHD, is a disorder that affects millions of children. A statistic published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that as many as 11 percent of children (approximately 6.4 million) between the ages of four to 17 may struggle with this disorder. With so many school-aged children being diagnosed, it’s a good idea as a parent to learn as much as possible about children with ADHD and how it can be treated or managed successfully with the help of your pediatrician.
