General Info

Established in 1990, the Central Virginia Regional Jail is a correctional facility that serves Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison and Orange counties in Virginia. The facility houses more than 350 local, state and federal prisoners and employs more than 85 staff members. The Central Virginia Regional Jail includes a dormitory, infirmary, recreational room, visiting area and classrooms. It is a member of the Virginia Association of Regional Jails. Additionally, the facility offers the Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE) service, which allows victims of crimes to find information about their offender s custody status through telephone and the Internet.
