Septic Specialists

Beware. I called them to give me a quote for my septic that was overflowing. After the crew arrived they told be they had to empty the tank to see what was wrong. I asked if it would cost and they said no. They proceeded and found the pump had died and needed replaced. The owner showed up shortly before this and said that if it was just the floats it would be $350 and if it was the pump it would be between $850 - $1200. I made it very clear no work could be done that would cost money without my husbands consent. The owner left and the crew was finishing up and when I went back out they were about to put a pump in and said it would be $1200! I told them no. Just cover it up and I'd let them know. We received a bill two days later for $250! I had not authorized any work to be done. I could see perhaps a $50 charge but not $250 to tell me a problem. Very bad work ethics. The workers aren't clear with their boss. Makes things confusing and I would not at all recommend. Stay away.
