The Office of Personnel Management administers the Merit System of Personnel Administration and is headed by an administrator who is appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Oklahoma State Senate. Its personnel assessment division develops and validates a variety of employee selection procedures for state government, including ratings of training and experience, structured interviews, and written, performance and certification tests. The agency s office for legislative affairs tracks and analyzes legislations that affect the Oklahoma Personnel Act and the Office of Personnel Management, Merit System of Personnel Administration and state agency personnel. Its human resource development services division assesses the supervisory and managerial training and development needs of state employees. Additionally, the division develops and administers training courses and developmental activities to meet those needs. The Office of Personnel Management is located in Oklahoma City.
