Overall

Cairn recent purchased this smaller community. I've owned property in here for a year or so. I'm very impressed with the staff, the people. It's a close nit community and Jessica the manager does a great job. It's great to see new homes come in and investors and home owners improving their property.

You do not want to move into this park. Look around and find a better one.

Five years ago, when I moved our mobile home here, I did quite a bit of research. Of all of the parks that I had checked out, this one was best suited for us. It has a pool, which is now closed because they do not have proper shower and restroom facilities. I spoke with several residents that lived here and was assured that this was an outstanding place to live.

It is on well water, which causes no end of problems. During the ice storm of 2007, we went without water for 5 days. All because they didn't want to go out and purchase generators to keep the well houses operating. They finally did after someone called the Health Department. The water is shut off without any warning and when you call to find out what is going on, you will be blamed for the outage or it is only your home affected. The park I used to live in would give us warning when the water was going to be shut off as they put up signs at the entrances to the park to let the residents know well in advance. Most of the time the water is shut off is when everyone is home for the evening. I do not remember once, outside of the ice storm, when the water was ever shut off during the day, but I was at work so I wouldn’t know if it happened. The other thing is the water pressure here is terrible. I think they are overloading the system as they only keep three of the four pump houses running at any one time.

The park is home to RVs as well. This does not present as much of a problem as one would think at first.

They refuse to keep up the proper maintenance on the trees in the park They are in the power lines, which further caused problems during the ice storm. The one thing I can say is that they do not have many empty lots, so keeping them mowed in the summer is not an issue. What is an issue is the large grassy areas that are not lots are not kept mowed regularly.

Out of the last five years, there have been four increases in the amount that we pay for lot rent. It went from $165.00 to $220.00. The last excuse for the raise was so that they would be the same as other mobile home parks in the area. The park changed owner’s right after the ice storm and the residents were not provided a means of contact with the new owners. We have to go through the park manager which is nigh impossible to get anything done. I wonder how much the owner’s really know.

Its an ok place to live, but over the past few years the parks been going down hill. The POOL we use to enjoy threw the summer months, when the weather gets so hot! Is NO LONGER available. The swimming pool provided the children as well as the older residents a place to gather and visit with the other residents of the park, which kept us more in contact with each other. The pool also provided an important water source for the fire department in case of a fire in the park. If THE OWNER OF THE PARWAY MOBILE HOME PARK reads this, PLEASE HAVE OUR POOL REOPENED!!!!!
