At The Neurology Center, each patient is treated as an unique individual in order to maximize their potential for recovery from stroke. Many of our physicians see patients both in the hospital and outpatient at our clinics. At the hospitals, our physicians provide consultative services to the hospital staff and serve as the primary care for patients in the inpatient rehabilitation units.
Sleep Disorders
In order to evaluate your sleep, it is important to examine what’s happening to your brain, your heart, your breathing, and your legs while you are sleeping. For most patients, the initial sleep study performed is called a diagnostic polysomnogram. It is used to diagnose a variety of sleep disorders including sleep apnea and leg kicking. A video monitor in your room records any unusual movements or parasomnias and recordings are only kept when significant abnormalities are seen.
Electrocardiogram
Cardiovascular autonomic test with head-up tilt: During this second part of the autonomic test, we record your blood pressure and heart rate using an electrocardiogram (ECG). This test involves performing the simple maneuvers such as taking deep breaths, blowing into a mouth piece and changing position from lying down to standing upright.

Neuro-ophthalmology, a subspecialty of both neurology and ophthalmology, requires specialized training and expertise in problems of the eye, brain, nerves and muscles.
