West Bloomfield Pediatrics

I had a phone call from their office(machine) said, my 2 years old daughter need to update the vaccine, so I need to call them to make an appointment. So, I called them, and asked what kind of vaccine my daughter needs. Then the stuff said, "I can't tell you that now, you will get to know when you come to the office". It was strange to me, but I went. They said 3 vaccinees are required for my daugher. However, I already went to the office for check up 3 months ago when she was 2. So, I explained the nurse about it, over and over. I made her go back to her computer to check the record 3 times. I waited and waited in the room, but the nurse was so sure about it. I had to accept it. However, after I came home I checked by myself. It was wrong. They were wrong about it. Transferred records from previous pediatrics are not in the system perfectly I guess. 2 shots were transferred, but not these 3. So, my daughter took 3 vaccines that were already took before again. What can I do. It's too late. She already took shots. I can't trust them.

My OB had referred me to this office after having my first child and was very pleased with them when they came to the hospital....I then had my first appointment and felt like I was being interrogated when asked questions about my child. He was born with some health issues so I can understand their concern but after two weeks of no sleep and recovery from a c-section I had hoped that I would feel just as relaxed as I did with the doc at the hospital. After shuffling through all of the docs I finally found one that I liked and thought things would get better but.....I was NEVER given any information on what my child should be doing as far as advancements, if he was gaining enough weight, how much he should be eating or what to expect as far as shots! When we went in for our first round of shots I didn't even know that was what they were going to do! The assistant just came in and asked us to sign a paper that our child was receiving these vaccinations that day! Also, when I talked with them several times about my child being VERY gassy (which was painful for him) they told me it would go away...turns out my child has a lactose sensitivity!!!!! Wouldn't you know I changed his formula and the problem stopped by that night! The staff is not very friendly and you are always treated as if you have no clue on what your talking about and look at you like your crazy when you suggest something different. I also had an issue with having my records transferred to another office.... I called and asked to have them transferred and that I would come in and sign a release form I was then told that it would take a MONTH to have them copied and faxed! I have worked in the medical field for years now and know for a fact that it does not take that long! This is just a personal experience and I know that all are different but I just wanted to let others know what I have been trough and then you can judge for yourselves.... The doctors are alright but the frumpy unfriendlystaff ( excluding the blond assistant...she was GREAT!!!) are enough to make you turn back around and leave....

I disagree with the previous review. My daughter has been a patient here for over 2 years. She has received wonderul care and they have put up with me being a paranoid first time mom. My daughter's doctor is wonderful and I really the other doctors she has seen there on the occasion that her's isn't able to see her. The nurses are wonderful and I have always been asked if I want to make her next appointment when checking out. Plus it also says when your child's next appointment should be on the sheet they give you with the weight, measurement, and information you should know about your your child at their current age. I met with several pediatrician while expecting my daughter and am confident I chose the best pediatrician for her. I highly recommend that any parent looking for a pediatrician look into West Bloomfield Pediatrics either the Novi or West Bloomfield office most of the pediatricians work days at both offices.

My daughter is a patient here and I think this place needs some serious work. When we took her in for her 2 month shots NO ONE informed us of a 4 month check up! I’m a firsts time mom and I had no idea there was a 4 month check up. Yeah I should of known myself but why didn’t the doctor or the staff call to see why I didn’t make her an appointment?! I thought that was very unprofessional. I remember when the receptionist told me to make the appointment. she said make it in may that would have made my daughter 6 months not 4. Every time we go there we're waiting forever to see the doctor. There never on time! No one really seems to know what’s going on. They asked us questions like " She's just here for a check up right?" Its like why are u asking me that? U should know what u have to do. I would not recommend this place. It seem like amateurs are running the show. I cant wait for change pediatricians. And one more thing the staff is not very friendly either,
