Operational since1866, Norwalk Public Library has been serving the educational and recreational needs of the citizens of Norwalk and Ohio/Huron County in North Central Ohio. The system has a collection of more than 93,000 library materials that include art prints, books, e-books, books on tape, large print books, magazines, encyclopedias, puzzles and newspapers. In addition, it offers voter/Buckeye Card registration, talking book equipment, Hispanic materials, displays/exhibits and Ellison dies, among others. Norwalk Public Library is associated with The Talking Book Program that provides free recorded books, magazines and playback equipment to eligible blind, visually impaired, physically handicapped and reading disabled Ohio residents.
