Dealing with Lauren “the manager” at Brick’s has to be the single worst food retail experience I’ve had in my life. I could go on for days about how irresponsible, unresponsive and dishonest she is but I will convey my disappointment in a nutshell. We attempted to have a nice anniversary party for my parents at Brick’s. Setting the party up was near impossible b/c of the lack of communication by their “manager” Lauren. She never sent us a final estimate by email like she promised but we had to move forward with the party anyway b/c we already had 30 people attending. When we arrived, Lauren was not there and the waitstaff was not aware of our party (even though we’d made reservations over a month in advance). We let them know what food we wanted, etc. NOTHING WAS SET UP. So our party was shoved to the back of the restaurant. Thank god for Heather- she took over as our waitress and did the best she could. They were short staffed so the cook even came out to help with our party. At one point, I had to take drink orders for my OWN PARTY and hand them to the bartender so my party could get beverages. The entire thing was a complete nightmare. I sent a letter to the Manager, Bryan, only to find out that Lauren said she WAS there the entire time. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? They were short-staffed and Lauren didn’t even have enough courage to face up to her f-up and come help HER staff?? I can’t believe they allow such a dishonest person which such lack of integrity manage their restaurant. DO NOT HAVE A PARTY OF ANY SORT AT THIS RESTAURANT- especially if “Lauren” the “manager” is the one you have to deal with. In the words of the owner, “These are “restaurant” people you are dealing with, not professionals”. You know what I think -he should find some new “restaurant” people who take their job seriously and value their customers.
