Me and my daughter were traveling from Idaho to South Carolina and ran into car trouble...We stopped in Colorado and after several mechanics we found Stan at AAMCO in Northglenn...The friendliness and professional manner that I was treated made me feel comfortable from the start... Being from out of town and desperate to get home Stan could have easily told me I needed Everything under the sun and ripped me off...Stan and his staff were great and I fully recommend them for all your automotive needs...5 star service...James

Heck Yeah... Stan is the man. I was wary taking my truck to an aamco since diesel trannys can be so sophisticated, but stan knew a lot about the 5r110. I ordered a transgo shift kit to install while he was in there. I had it delivered to his shop and included the labor in my rebuild cost. He fought for me when my original warranty claim was denied and I will be back on the road again tonight. He got me out the door at a very reasonable price after the warranty company ACCEPTED the claim!! Very satisfied and highly recommended!

Very dishonest! Asked them to fix a coolant leak in my car, and instead they made it worse, and refused to pay back for the damages! Larry is a liar, and a crook! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! BEWARE!!!

Stay away. I wish I would have checked for reviews before having my vehicle transmission serviced here. The transmission will not stay in 2nd gear when 2nd gear is selected after a re-seal service was performed. 2 separate wasted trips/days later the issue is still not resolved, and the owner, Larry, insists the transmission is functioning as designed. The owner shows either no integrity, or no knowledge of how a transmission should function and will not do anything to resolve the issue their service caused.

Overall

Went to this place and talked to Larry about a issue with my transmission I was told he could find problem and give estimate for FREE.

When I got the call I was told the entire transmission would have to be removed to find the problem because everything looked good and this would cost me $550 but if I did the repair with Aamco I would not have to pay this. I asked several times if there was another way to figure out yhe problem without removing the entire transmission and was told this is the only way to figure the problem. I asked for worst case what is a complete rebuild from top to bottom Larry said a complete rebuild is $3400 but I was reassured that it would be no where near that price. I agreed to this, then my next call was the total cost to fix was $3200 and this was not for a complete rebuild it was to just replace 8 parts. WOW !! So I called 3 other Aamco shops and all 3 said I was being ripped off by this shop because all of them said they would never need to take out the transmission to find the problem and all the parts that where being replaced by this shop would cost $1500 to $2000. This was the words of 3 different Aamco locations. I thought using a reputable company like Aamco I would get a HONEST quote and repair but boy was I wrong in a bad way. So please don't let Larry and this company take the hard earned money out of your pocket like they did to me. I Googled this location and found out that many people had the same experience so just go somewhere else.
