North Hollywood Animal Care Center

I love this Veterinarian. She is so great! She discovered Boogerface's thyroid problem, and nailed the medicine perfect! My little kitty pal is doing so great she even gained a pound this month! (she needed that) ���� Note that her staff is also friendly and knowledgeable, and patient, kind and caring. You won't find a better place, so choose these girls!

I've been going there for about 7 years or my many dogs and am very happy with them.

I can't say enough about Dr. Sunada and her staff! This was our third visit to her office, and we had to take 16-year-old Whitey in because he was constantly itching his ears and shaking his head and scratched his ear so much it got a huge blood blister. All this because of ear mites. We had taken him yesterday to another vet in Burbank because it was closer to our home, but for the very same work (surgery, clean, mite treatment) the estimate yesterday was just over $1,000!!! I was resigned to the fact that I would have to do that, but thought I would do so at my own vet office (Dr. Sunada). So today we took Whitey in and for the EXACT same surgery, we got an estimate for just over $300!!!! WTF??? I was amazed! I can't imagine how some vets can live with themselves after overcharging like that!!! I was floored!



Also, Dr. Sunada was VERY helpful and explained our options (which, BTW, include taking in our other three cats tomorrow for ear mite treatments *sigh*) very fully and calmly. She spent as much time as we needed, and we felt completely at ease and un-rushed. She seems very compassionate, and I really liked her.



As a topper, when I made today's appointment, I made it from the office and didn't have the phone number...well...*blush* to make a long story short, I ended up making an appointment today at the wrong vet office. So I go into North Hollywood Animal Care Center at the appointed time this morning, and the woman at the counter could not find my appointment. I told her that I was sure I had made it. So she told me to sit down and they would be with me shortly. After a short wait (10-15 minutes) we started getting a little antsy about the wait (wife had to get to work) and I was getting a little miffed mentally because they told me to come at 9AM or a little before so I could be seen promptly!



Long story short, through a couple of other comments and conversations, on the way out I learned that I hadn't had an appointment there and had actually made an appointment at the wrong vet office! *LOL* How embarassing!!!



So the staff had absorbed me into the morning schedule WITHOUT charging me extra as a walk-in, AND without giving me attitude about insisting I had made an appointment.



Dr. Sunada and her staff now have my unending respect and loyalty :)
