Dan's Kennels

I have bought 7 dogs from Dan and have nothing but smart and loveable dogs. So people who say that their dogs were sick and stuff maybe you are the problem NOT Dan. If you didn’t like it why go there.

Bought my Calvalier there three years ago! He is healthy and so sweet! Dan was very helpful! Will be back!

We recently got a sweet cavachon from Dan's. She is such a doll and so smart and friendly. My grandchildren adore her. You have a very nice kennel and a wonderful selection of puppies. You were so helpful to me. My husband and I just love our new puppy. Thank you!

We bought our 6 yr old pug from Dans. She has been great, wonderful dog. We recommended about 6 people, no problems at all.
I would buy a second puppy here.

My wife and I along with our kids got our maltese a month ago from Dan's. Great experience, the puppy is awesome. My Aunt got her dog there (her shih-tzu is now 10 yrs old) and recommended the place to us. Very much satisfied!

I got my lab from Dan's 13 years ago. He was the best dog. Happy and healthy. Just got my new puppy a month ago. He is a great puppy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Purchasing our Dachshund five years ago was the best thing I have done! Our dog is truly my best friend and has brought much joy to me, my wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He came from a spotless kennel, NOT a puppy mill!!

This place is a puppy mill. A reputable breeder has health testing done, and generally only focuses on one to two breeds. Why people continue to support this "business" is beyond me.

PUPPY MILL!!! Should be shut down! Dogs are sick, in small cages. Where are the parents of these dogs? Terrible. Less than 1 star.

Continued from my purchase on 11/12/16, Deemed Unfit by NYS- Per Our vet for sale due to illness. I've contacted the police dept. , Stoppuppymills through the Washindton, DC Humane Society, The Village of North Collins. The Attorney General, USDA, the Animal Hospital he solely uses for only rabies vaccines and others. This Kennel is selling puppies that are Sick. * These animals need to have a safe, livable and sanitary place to live. With qualified, attentive staff. That is Not happening. The Facts are: Something Needs To Be Done Now. Not later. Please contact The Humane Society of the United States , Puppy Mill Campaign and let's put an end to these puppy mills. For the Safety and Habitability of these voiceless, defenseless animals. He Will continue to sell unhealthy dogs, but I will not quit until these other dogs are taken care of. I'm in the process of retaining a lawyer. Which is no problem. I have all the proof I need. Also his OH # is a Ohio Number for breeding dogs. How can this be? Please, I'm begging you Do Not Buy From this Kennel. And if you already have: SAVE any and All pertaining documents to submit to the police and The Humane Society. I will not drop this. Please Help.

i purchased one of his breeders dogs that he wanted to adopt out because she wasn't producing enough puppies. like many of you, i thought the place was very clean and that the dogs were well cared for but when i got my dog home and gave her a bath (she smelled and had very dry flaky skin), i found sores throughout her coat. when i took her to the vet, they diagnosed her with a "stage 4 yeast infection" in her ears. she required a couple oatmeal treatments to stop her scrating and begin to heal the sores and i'm still trating her ears. she was very skiddish and is finally warming up to us where she will approach us and ask to be petted but she still cowers if we approach her. the puppy room may be spot on but i'd love to see exactly how the breeder rooms are.

I've filed reports with the : Humane Society of the USA, the USDA, the Stop Puppy Mills Campaign. I wrote directly to : Dan's Kennels in North Collins, NY. He crams puppies into cages gives shots after picking up fecal matter. The upfront or store front is neat and tidy the back part is an awful show behind the scenes. It's absolutely deplorable. The puppies, some of them sick, I saw one bichon-poodle puppy with a cataract, some are swiftly taken and washed due to being covered in diarrhea. We foolishly ( but Had to get the puppy I was holding out of this place ) the puppy vomited 5 times, subsequently taken to our vet with gastroenteritis, conjunctivitis, yeast in his ears, blood in his stool, listlessness and cowered Everytime we went near him. The DISGUSTING facts are : what you see when you walk in, is Not what you get behind closed doors or what happens when you get your Ill puppy home. This needs to stop. I'm retaining a lawyer.

Adopt don't shop, pets are euthanized every day because of breeders. For your next dog please check petharbor local shelters & 501c3 rescue groups. Dan blocked me on Facebook instead of trying to defend what he's doing.

My family and I called the kennel and they gave us the information we wanted but couldn't tell us anything about the parents of the dogs. So we went anyway to see. When we got there the staff was very rude and seemed emotionless. Didn't ask us if they could help or anything. We went to see the dogs and they have at least over 100 dogs stuck in a bunch of cages. Which makes sense but it didn't seem like they have ever had human interaction. They all looked sad. Some of the puppies even looked sick and not well taken Care of at all. I would have loved to take one out of that environment but didn't want to take the risk. I wouldn't recommend this kennel to anyone.

I purchased a female Yorkshire Terrier at Dan's over 11 years ago and she is still going strong. Healthy, smart and such a bundle of energy. She is my best friend and I love her! Dan's Kennel provided good quality. Hoping for another 11 years with my yorkie!

I would never, ever buy another dog from Dans. I agree 100% puppy mill. My dog ended up being a 55 pound Shetland sheepdog. Anyone that would visit told me she was a full size collie. Her temperament was very sketchy, she would bite people, broke a leg jumping off my 2 foot porch. Poor quality. My pup came from out of state and we weren't allowed to see the other pups he had unless he brought them to us. I wonder what goes on behind those closed doors, but I have a feeling I would be sick if I knew. Never again!!!

I purchased a wonderful dog from Dan's Kennels who had the sweetest personality and temperament. I say had because at the age of 3 she was diagnosed with severe arthritis and hip dsyplasia and at 6 she developed lymphoma that was unresponsive to any treatment, and multiple treatments were attempted. So if you want to have your heart broken by the premature death of your genetically inferior puppy mill product go to Dan's.

My family just bought a puppy from Dans kennel. We were impressed with the puppies there. He has a great selection and lots of nice looking dogs. Great place to get a dog . I found the staff to be friendly.

I have been to dan's kennel several times over the years . Each time i go there are always lots of heathly puppies. Dan has always been kind and helpful. We will always continue to buy our dogs at dans . People should go there and see for yourself . This day and age there are activist the target this type of business. From the looks of things there this would take alot of heart and dedication
