Bill Meyer has over 10 years of experience coaching individuals to learn how to push themselves beyond the boundaries of what they thought was imaginable. In personal training, it's more than just a string of great exercises; a well put together program, or someone keeping you accountable to your routine. At MEYER FITNESS, the ability to coach people is the focal point; being able to know when to push, when to maintain, and when to take a break; and simply educating and listening to the true goals and needs of your clients comes first overall. Ready to Discover the NEW YOU??? Welcome to MEYER FITNESS!! Thank you for your interest in our training studio here in the Ghent area of Norfolk. Conveniently located at 1911 Colonial Avenue, we're right across the street from Maury High School, 10 minutes from downtown Norfolk, and right down the street from numerous shopping locations, restaurants, and local hangouts in Ghent. Once inside MEYER FITNESS, expect a comfortable lobby next to the front door, with lots to look at and train with a few feet away in the training space. Although it looks like wood floor, our flooring is actual rubberized training floor designed for weight training and athletic movements, while being easy to clean and keep safe for our customers. In the back, you will find a comfortable bathroom, changing room, and our massage therapy rooms. There's even a back exit leading straight to the parking lot behind the building if you're needing a quick getaway! Our training equipment is unique to Norfolk. At MEYER FITNESS, we believe that your body is the machine, so you will not find a room full of treadmills, bicycles, and traditional weight training machines. Upon walking into the training space, expect to see free weights of all kind: SandBells, SteelBells, Kettlebells, and even Indian clubs, sledgehammers and swinging maces! From there, you'll enjoy the rock climbing wall, safe and effective for all clients (and kids) of MEYER FITNESS. From there, you'll see rings, ropes, and push sleds, alongside all types of speed and agility equipment just waiting for you to train with! We hope you'll come in for a visit soon! As my clients can attest, I refuse to fall into the category of Personal Trainer as I feel that my role in my client's lives is to be a Life Coach. Someone who learns how each person is motivated, what his or her goals are deep down, and then develops a program that breaks the mold of traditional training.
