        First Presbyterian Church of Newark Welcome to Newark First Presbyterian Church, Newark, CA. We welcome everyone. We pride ourselves on a multi-cultural congregation that is learning to follow Jesus Christ. JESUS LOVES YOU! No experience required. Come join us! Service Time Sunday morning at 9: 00AM we offer a blended worship service. We also have a Children's Church and we provide childcare during the service. Sunday morning at 10: 30AM we offer a contemporary worship service. We also have a Children's Church and we provide childcare during the service. After 2 years of searching for a new Pastor we finally have one. Pastor Garrett Yamada is the new Pastor of First Pres. Newark. To read more about him and his family click here.         The world can be overwhelming with all the strife and turmoil. Come join us and be loved, comforted, and equipped to go back out there!

        God's word and love are present in our community of followers of Jesus!

        I have never felt more home at...

        I have never felt more comfortable at a church. The people are very welcoming and Pastor Garrett gives sermons that are Christ-centered, compelling and speak to the heart. There are so many opportunities in the church to serve the community and to learn to get closer to God. The 9 AM service has a traditional style of worship which is wonderful and a 10:30 AM service that has a contemporary style of worship which has awesome music led by Sifa who is our new contemporary music director. I have been to both services and they both are great. Bottom line is that it feels like family here. Please come and you will know what I mean.
