The Mark is a nice hotel that focuses on fashion and design. The staff was very friendly and its location a block from Central Park was fantastic. One of my main reasons for staying at The Mark was it being pet friendly for dogs up to 25 lbs. They had nice food bowls and bedding waiting for our dog when we got there. The room was a decent size and the bath room was huge. A separate bath and shower with a television in the bathroom mirror. The bed room also included a nice 32 LCD TV with a Blu-ray player. All electronics where controlled by a remote including the shades for the windows. The Wifi was free for the room and a direct Ethernet connection if desired could be ordered for an extra fee. The only negative things I could comment would be that the new construction still left a slight smell in the rooms (being construction has only been completed a month ago, Sept. 2009 that should pass). If you have a visual problem where patterns can bother you then you may have a problem with the bathroom floors and/or the floor of the main lobby. The stripe pattern is something strong if such things effect you. Over all had a nice stay at the hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
