Benign earlobe cysts will often go away on their own, but the length of time this can take depends on a number of factors and varies from person to person. Sometimes these lumps can only go away with treatment. A cyst is a pocket of skin or other tissue containing air or fluid (often a thick, white substance called keratin). It doesn’t hurt at touch, feel like a gummy bear, with a size of a pea, smooth bump under the skin of the earlobe. Sometimes skin cells multiply or grow instead of being shed, embedding themselves deeper into the epidermis and forming the walls of a cyst within the top layers of the skin. Cysts can also be drained of the fluid inside them. You should keep an eye on your cyst and seek help if it doesn’t appear to be healing.

Cover Up Tattoos
You’re going to want your cover-up to be done right and to look great. This means making sure your old tattoo is completely covered up or disguised by the new design. To make sure your cover up is done right, it may take more time than a standard tattoo because your artist will have to go over the piece a few more times than usual. Other factors such as the intensity of the original ink and type of art your tattoo artist decides to put over it will also factor into the time it takes to execute the cover-up. Since the amount of time will vary from person-to- person, we recommend scheduling a consultation with your artist first so that you can get an expert’s opinion on how long it will take for your cover up tattoo.

Ear Piercing
Designs of piercing guns are simple spring- loaded devices into which an ear piercing stud and backing could be loaded, held around the earlobe, and then fired through. Tissue trauma when a piercing is performed with a gun or a single cartridge system. The piercing guns or cartridge system hold a blunt stud, and when these studs are forced through the tissues, it literally rips the tissue in order to pierce. If your piercing will go through the cartilage, it can shatter with blunt force.

Niobium: Suitable for both initial (unhealed) piercings and healed piercings. Niobium is denser than titanium, resulting in less usage in body-piercing. The colours from niobium are created in the same way as titanium – the metal is anodised to give a thin oxide layer. This layer is just as bio-compatible and gives an even wider range of colours than titanium. Again, the nickel content is less than 0.05%, therefore being ideal for those sensitive to nickel.

Healing estimate: This navel is very open allowing for good air circulation, it is also higher than the belt line. With regular light cleaning and sensible jewellery the belly piercing should settle within 6/8 weeks and be completely healed inside 6 months (this is assuming the person leads a healthy lifestyle).
