My preschool opened in July 2011, in Nashville, Tn. After one full day of tours and interviews, the first group of children were enrolled and ready to begin in the next few weeks. My school has been pretty full ever since, and I have loved every minute of it! Over the last 10 years I have had the pleasure of working with some truly amazing children and their families. I moved to New Smyrna Beach, Fl in May 2014. Upon moving, I went through the process of becoming a Florida State Registered Family Daycare Home. Then in 2019, I went through the licensure process, becoming a Florida State Licensed Daycare Home. Octopus Garden Preschool is listed on the Florida Families website as, Morvant Licensed Family Daycare Home, license number F07VO0377. In order to be licensed, I have to complete full background checks and fingerprinting. I have taken over 100 hrs. of classes on early childhood education, as well pass an exam on each class. Every year I take an additional 10 hrs. of in-service training and pass exams for each class. I am currently first aid and CPR certified. I renew my certification every 2 years. Bringing my preschool to NSB has been a great experience! The response from our community over the last 7 years has been amazing. I have worked with some of the best families and children. I am so thankful that my preschool has been such a great fit in our small beach town.
