Tattooagogo

There are quite a few tattoo shops on Magazine Street, but this one is by far, the best I've seen. The open and airy space makes getting tattooed feel like the art that it is, instead of a clinical procedure in a sectioned off room like some shops. The space is aesthetically pleasing, for sure, and it's exceptionally clean.



The artists here are so lovely. I've been getting tattooed by Nixxin for the past year. He is a master of his craft. I met him via recommendation of a friend and just wanted a small quickie tattoo, but as we got to talking, I felt inspired to plan something bigger, including a coverup. I now have a half sleeve done by him. I love the delicate nature of his work. For such a big hard bear of a guy, he sure tattoos beautiful flowers and filigree patterns. Ladies, if you want a beautiful, intricate tattoo, he's your man.



I've only ever had great experiences at this shop, and I recommend it every time someone asks me about a tattoo shop in NoLa. Stop in and you'll see why.

It was nice to go into a shop where the people know what they are talking about and are willing to draw whatever you want. Everybody here has a nice portfolio of tattoos that they drew up but they were willing to work with the little drawing I brought in. I felt like I might have been at the wrong place at first because so many of my friends had told me about the owner who is known for doing large japanese tattoos and after looking at his portfolio I would tell anybody looking for a japanese tattoo he is the guy to go to.

Since I was looking to do a little fleur dis lis on my arm and the other guys were busy Nixxin took my crudely drawn design and made it into EXACTLY what I was wanting but couldn't put on paper. I am into the old Sailor Jerry style tattoos and he made mine look like it could have been done by the master himself.
