It's hard to find Indian food in the south, but they have a great selection between the menu and the buffet if you want to try more items. The staff isn't exactly friendly or sociable, and you usually need to flag them down when you need something. But their food is excellent, and the location is great.

Good ambience. Very passable food. good service -- Maybe 2 years ago in the area, this place would have been unique. Today there are not soooo many excellent and cheap places in the area that this place almost feels. Food is very good for the money charged. Decent ambience. great service. There are not so many cheaper and better Indian restaurants close by.\r \r

My boyfriend and I went to Nirvana recently for dinner. We ordered the appetizer sampler and two entrees. The problem was that the food was literally too spicy to eat. We hardly touched it. I looked around in amazement and saw other diners happily eating their food. I like spicy food and frequently eat at Thai restaurants. But Nirvanas dishes were too hot for me. Our waiter told us that the other Indian restaurant that they own, Taj Mahal, serves food that is less spicy. We are looking forward to dining there. If you like your food super hot, this is the place for you. If you don't like to perspire and have your nose run while you eat, you should go elsewhere.

The food at Nirvana is heavenly. The chicken tikka masala and alu gobi is the best I've had anywhere. The waiters are friendly and jovial especially with the little ones.

I once ordered some 40 somosas here for a class project. It was cheap, the sources were hot and spicy and savory. The buffet is just as great and the prices are decent. It has good seating arrangements and relatively decent parking options.

This is the spot. There were a couple of restaurants I NEEDED to open after Hurricane Katrina and this was at the top of my list. Buffet is always plentiful, delicious, hot (temperature and some spicy dishes) with a wide selection to choose from. Service has always been great. We try to have lunch there once a week at least. Try a mango fruit drink, even though it'll set you back about $3.
