I believe that Dr. Lupo is the best Dermatologist out there. I would recommend her to all of my family and friends. During one of my appointments Dr. Lupo sensed that something was wrong with me regarding my health. She told me that I should go to see my PCP and insisted that something was wrong. I did see my physician and come to find out, had it not been for Dr. Lupo I am not sure what would have happened to me. I trust her 100%. Thank you again Dr. Lupo!

Pleased beyond words !! Dr. Lupo is an expert in treating skin disorders and I highly recommend her. I was uncomfortable with the dark spots that had appeared on my face. Her treatment methodology worked within 1 month. The spots are gone and my skin looks younger. One of my friends even asked what face cream I was using! Dr. Lupo as someone who can treat all skin types with expertise and compassion. I will definitely keep her as my Dermatologist!!!

Hope out there for others in a similar predicament! Kind of a long story but I do get to talking about Dr. Lupo in the end!

I just wanted to share my story in hopes of helping others. Most people seem to write reviews when they are unhappy with their results so I don’t want to focus too much on the negative.

When I was 29 years old, I was diagnosed by a wonderful Endocrinologist – Dr. Harold Miller with Grave’s disease (hyperthyroidism) and my type caused my eyes to bulge out (rare). It’s a pretty scary looking eye problem and you can google images to see what I am referring about.

I never had much self-esteem despite others telling me that I am a pretty girl. While out in a shopping mall, a small child laugh at me and ask their mommy what was wrong with me and why do my eyes look so crazy. I immediately went home and cried so hard and knew that I had to look into something to help my problem. I found on the internet a procedure called Orbital Decompression which removes the fatty tissue buildup around the eyes that causes them to bulge. In a panic mode not realizing I need a specialist in the field (oculoplastic surgeon), I find a plastic surgeon whose name was plastered everywhere and thought it would be a safe bet. I never consulted with Dr. Miller and went and had the procedure done.

This was the worst mistake of my life! A procedure that should have been an hour or 2 went on from 6 am – 10:30 pm at night! He obviously had to call in reinforcement because he didn’t know what he was doing. My eyes were so asymmetrical and far worse than before the operation. I went back after many months of recovery for a follow-up and asked if he could fix my eyes. He looked at me like how dare you question my work and what is wrong with you! He agreed to do a second surgery at no cost and still left me a mess with a ton of scar tissue!

I cried to Dr. Miller and he told me that he wished I would have talk to him first and I should go see a specialist in Covington – Dr. Kyle Acosta, an oculoplatic surgeon. It only took one surgery and he grafted skin from my eyelids and worked his magic in 1 hour with no anesthetic side effect and minimal pain and bruising ……I had phenomenal results with eyes far prettier than before my graves eye disease diagnosis. The only problem after this was that he told me eventually I would need laser treatment on the skin that was grafted because the inexperience doctor left me with so much scar tissue.

That is where Dr. Mary Lupo came in…a nationally recognized expert in the field of Dermatology. She took that tough, scar tissue around my delicate eye area and made it smoother than a baby’s skin after one non-aggressive laser treatment! My results can be seen on her website and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her!!!!

Finally, I got diagnosed with something scary, I made a bad decision on selecting someone to do surgery on me but despite all I believe God brought Dr. Harold Miller, Dr. Kyle Acosta, and Dr. Mary Lupo my way for help. God sent sweethearts with amazing bedside manner restoring my faith in doctors!!!

Dr. Lupo recommended I do a series of 5 laser genesis treatments. I just recently completed the treatments and love the results! My skin is smooth and glowing- i have gotten lots of compliments. The best part was no downtime- not even a slight peeling afterwards. Love this treatment and definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a non aggressive laser treatment with no downtime.

I have been extremely satisfied with the professionalism of the staff and the tremendous help Dr. Lupo has given to me in my problem with hyperpigmentation. Just wanted to pass on a big thanks to Kristi for my Fraxel Dual treatment which I had last Wednesday, 4/3/13. This is my second laser treatment (had my first one November 2012) and I absolutely love the results this time even more than the first time. Swelling was not as bad, but peeling was probably a little worse but not anything I couldn't handle and the results definitely made it worth looking like a snake shedding its skin. :) Anyway, I will probably have this procedure done once more sometime later this year or early next year!
