I don't understand the poor reviews. Due to the fact that a previous seamstress did not hem or bustle my daughter in laws wedding gown properly we found it to be 3 inches too long 24 hours before the wedding. I called just to ask him if he would look at it and give us any recommendations as far as what could be done. Due to the delicate detailing of the dress there was no way I could expect him to correct the issue properly (which would mean taking the whole hem apart and then see back in and re hem(not to mentione it needed to be done in less than 24 hours. I thought perhaps he could put a couple if layers of netting to widen the bottom thereby raising it off the floor a bit but also then altering the look of the dress from what she had envisioned. My daughter in law took the dress there and not only did he alter the hem the way it should have been done in the first place and fix the bustle he also adjusted the bustline to make her more comfortable in a strapless gown. All in under 24 hours. Now my daughter is getting married I wouldn't even consider going anyplace else.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I brought my wedding dress in 8 weeks before my wedding (9/9/2016) to be hemmed, a 'dickie' put in and that the cup lining taken out. After checking on the dress 3 times before the final pick up (9/1/2016), the lining still wasn't fixed on one side. I brought it home 1 week before my wedding to have other people look at, to make sure it wasn't just me. It wasn't. I had to go with another dress because I wasn't confident in Jeff's ability anymore and there wasn't enough time to have someone else look at it. When I called to come to a resolution about the price and messed up dress I now had; I was screamed at, hung up on and had the police called on me for calling too many times. I now have spent $159.75 for alterations, as well as what I paid for the dress, on something I can't sell or use. Still nothing has been done about the experience I had or to fix what was done. I asked that he reimburse me, actually fix it, or return it to how it was when I first brought it in. None of those have been done. BEWARE if you ever want to work with them!!!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I brought my wedding dress here 7/13/16 with a due date of 7/21/2016 (he picked that date). I wanted three things done; the cup lining taken out, a 'dickie' put in the front and it hemmed. He told me that he didn't think taking the cup lining out would be sufficient, so he wanted to 'reconstruct' the top of the dress. I figured he was the expert and I had extra material, so I would let him do what he thought needed to be done. (We also decided to wait until about 4 weeks from the wedding to do the hem, because I was losing weight & he said that was his recommendation.)He called me about 2 weeks later (already past the due date) and said he had some trouble with the 'reconstructing' so he wanted to show me the two options he had come up with. I went in, told him which one I liked, that the right side looked perfect to me and that was what I wanted to go with. I pointed out the very specific reason I didn't like the left side. He told me he had tried several things & spent several hours on the dress, trying different things. But not to worry, he wasn't charging me for that time, (because it was his choice to try different things) he just wanted me to know that he had put a lot of time into the dress. I told him I was grateful, that I thought the right side was beautiful and I was very happy with it. He told me he would call me when the left side & everything else was done. About 3 weeks later, now around 8/17/2016 (past the 4 week mark for the hem to be done,) I called to find out when I would be able to come in, he told me that Saturday was fine. I went in, tried on the dress, the 'dickie & hem still weren't done. (I will be the first to admit I am not a seamstress, but nothing looked like it had been done to the left side, it looked exactly the same.) I pointed out that the very specific thing I didn't like about the left side still hadn't been fixed. He tried to explain what he had done to it, I still couldn't see any difference. He said he saw what I was talking about, and that he would fix it and call me when he was done. I told him he could do the hem and the 'dickie' as well. I went back the following weekend (8/27/2016), the hem & 'dickie' still weren't done. He said it would take him maybe an hour to do those, and he wanted to make sure the cup lining was correct. It still didn't look like anything different had been done. He said he would fix it & do the hem & 'dickie' and call me. I went in 9/2/2016 the Friday (1 week) before my wedding to pick up the dress. The hem & 'dickie' were done. The left cup lining still looked exactly the same and it looked like he had done something to the right side, and it was a little weird. I told him I would take the dress because I wanted my Mom to look at it to see if she could see the same things I was seeing. He asked if I like it, I said it was 'fine,' that something still didn't seem right and I would let him know if I needed to bring it back. I brought it home, had about 5 different people look at it, including men, and without saying anything about what I was seeing, they all pointed out the same things. At that point, I had no confidence that he could actually fix it period, let alone in 3 days (the wedding was 9/9/2016 and they were closed Sat, Sun & Mon for labor day.) I decided to go with a different dress, which luckily I had, but still needed stuff done to that. I called to explain that I had to go with a different dress given the time restraint and the fact that in 8 weeks he hadn't done what I asked, I asked him to ask him to do one of three things; actually fix it, put it back to how it was when I first brought it in, or give me the money I paid back. After a very brief attempt at an adult conversation he ended up screaming at me; telling me that I was unrealistic in what I wanted (which hadn't changed from when I brought the dress in the first place, as well as he was able to do it to one side perfectly,) that he was the best seamstress in t

Wonderful job

I was very impressed with the job they did on my dress. They had to make it 2 sizes smaller and it now fits perfectly. The man who owns it is very nice and helpful, and the woman is not very talkative. However, she was friendly and did amazing work. I will go back. :)

Saved the day

I was in a real pinch. I was at work and my zipper had broken on my skirt. I was due at an appointment in an hour and was not sure what I was going to do. A co-worker had recommended Seams B Fitting. I had the co-worker take the skirt down to the owner who dropped everything he was working on and fixed my skirt on the spot. He even pressed it prior to her coming back. He was a real live saver and his prices are very reasonable. You really don't find customer service like that anymore!!!!

Bent over backwards

I brought in a boat cover for a pontoon boat. The owner personally repaired it for me and did an excellent job. I know we will get years of use from his workmanship. I plan to visit his shop again soon.

slanderous

I have used this shop for almost 19 years and this is the first thing I have seen posted negative. Every time I had anything I had a question about they bent over backwards for me! They do work nobody else will touch and to me me far better than anyone else. This other review has been posted over one year and I think it's time some of us who really know them should speak up. Their probably the last of the old world tailors in our parts. Join in and say something good!

Did a beautiful job on my Mother of the Groom Dress, I bought the last dress of it's kind, but it was two sizes too big. When Seams-B-Fitting was finished with my dress, it fit like a glove! My alterations were also done in a timely fashion.
