Savanna Lawns Maintenance & Irrigation

I paid $3K for a sprinkler system for my yard. It took a little over one day (three people) to install. A few days after it was installed I had them come out to move a couple of heads and adjust a couple of others. The first time I took my John Deere out to mow the yard, the tractor lifted up at least four of the zone covers (not the springler heads but those green covers that protect the on/off mechanisms for each zone ... look like a 9" plate) and chewed one of the covers to pieces the size of a nickel. I keep the tractors blade set at three inches and the covers are below that. The covers come up very easily and do not lock into place. I contacted them about a month and a half ago and got a call back about a week later stating that they were very busy and that they would get to me in about two weeks. Another few weeks went past and I called them again ... now it has been another two weeks and I have yet to hear from them. I need to have the one cover replaced (I guess I'll be buying that) and I need to have the rest lowered closer to the ground with covers that don't come off easily (I guess I'll be doing that and paying for that too). In the meantime, I have a piece of wood sitting over the hole on the one zone and I have to hand mow around the other five covers ... I was told I could ride right over them. Try your luck elsewhere or do it yourself ... Savanna Lawn care will call you right away until they get your money and then you may or may not hear back (probably not) and you can forget about the one year warranty.
