$2,000,000.00 settlement, of a tractor trailer truck accident case in El Paso, Texas, in which our Florida client suffered a brain injury. We sued the owner of the tractor trailer due to the negligence of their driver who was speeding and distracted when he slammed into the rear of our client’s vehicle. Property Damage
Product liability lawsuits may assert both negligence and strict liability claims against a defendant. To prove that a defendant should be held strictly liable for harm caused by a defective product, a product liability attorney in Fort Lauderdale must show that the victim sustained bodily injuries or property damage that was caused by the use of the product, and the product had a defect that rendered it unreasonably dangerous. Specifically, they must show that the product was either defectively designed or defectively manufactured, or that the manufacturer of the product was aware of certain risks associated with the typical use of the product but neglected to warn consumers. Additionally, the injured person must not have altered or modified the product in any way after it was purchased, and he or she must have been using the product in the manner in which it was intended to be used. Product liability claims are complex, and in most cases, it will be necessary to retain an expert to testify regarding the dangerous nature of the product. Damages Recoverable in a Product Liability Claim
Our only goal is to help our clients pick up the pieces of their lives after they suffer serious injuries, so they can concentrate on getting better. We do this by fighting insurance companies and large corporations to get our clients the compensation they deserve for their unpaid medical bills, lost wages and for their pain and suffering. Because all Miami personal injury cases are handled on a contingent fee basis; you will not owe us anything for our attorney’s fees or costs unless we recovery money for you.

Dog Bites
Florida imposes strict liability on dog owners for dog bites. In other words, a person who is bitten by a dog does not need to prove that the dog owner was aware that the dog was vicious or had an inclination for biting, or otherwise prove the dog owner's negligence, to recover damages. Instead, if a dog bites a person in a public place, the dog owner is liable for the damages sustained by the person bitten by the dog. The owner will also be held accountable if the dog bites a person in a private place, including the dog owner’s home, as long as the person who was bitten was lawfully permitted to be in that place.
