Overall

John at GT is awesome! I went in looking for a special banjo head. They didn't have it but John helped me find one online. I also walked out with a Kremona Solea classical. Typical guitar player I guess. ;) Would highly recommend, especially if you're an acoustic player. Metal guys......not so much.

Owner & employees were very nice and helpful, I felt they genuinely cared about their customers and had a deep respect for all musicians. They were extremely knowledgeable and have a great shop/selection. Highly recommend checking them out before going anywhere else!

Overall

My guitar repairman found a vintage semi hollow guitar there and told me about it. The guitar was exactly what I was looking for. Apparently someone walked away from the amplifier without unplugging it and tore up the output jack area. Then someone put a very large damaged washer on it to cover up the damaged finish and structure. While playing the guitar I noticed it and proceeded to touch it with my finger. At that instance the owner and salesman both showed me the neat tuning nuts on other end of the guitar. Is this a coincidence or not? When removing the large washer, at home, I was shocked at the damage. My guitar expert repaired it for several hundred dollars and the guitar is OK. I suggested Guitar Tex pay this man the finder’s fee and tip him for fixing a botched guitar. They proceeded to talk their way out of it. I would not avoid buying from Guitar Tex but consider it similar to buying a used car from a used car lot. You are on your own.
