Angled Distraction
The DRX technology uses angled distraction specific to each lumbar intervertebral disc segment, applying about 80-90% of pull to a single disc segment, resulting in more effective reversal of the disease process. What to Expect?

During your first visit
You will be spend 45-60 minutes with your physical therapist performing a thorough evaluation to determine where you may have muscle strengths, weaknesses; range of motion, flexibility and joint mobility impairments and balance and proprioceptive deficits. A treatment plan, specific to your body, your injury and your goals will be developed. Treatment will incorporate a combination of a variety of hands-on, manual therapy treatments, as well as a thorough therapeutic exercise program.
Manual treatment methods
Manual treatment methods can include but are not limited to soft tissue massage, joint mobilizations, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques and taping techniques. Therapeutic exercises are tailored specifically to each patient, and can involve the use of exercise balls, functional exercise, balance equipment, pilates and yoga equipment, and education in a home program.

All of our patients receive individualized care directly from a licensed physical therapist. We will be consistently re-assessing your progress in physical therapy and are dedicated to working with you to help you achieve the best possible outcome for your recovery and independence.

Pilates is a method
Of total body conditioning that emphasizes proper alignment, centering, concentration, control, precision, and proper breathing while increasing flexibility, strength, muscle tone, body awareness, energy and mental concentration.
It consists of a series
Of controlled exercises that are performed on either the spring-resistant apparatus of the Reformer, the Cadillac or the Wunda Chair, the status apparatus of the Spine Corrector, the Ladder Barrel or the Arc Barrels or on the floor, the Mat work.
Pilates is an anaerobic activity
That works both the concentric (shortening) and eccentric (lengthening) contractions of the muscles resulting in the long, lean muscles of a dancer as opposed to the shorter, stockier muscles of a weight lifter.
