Belmonte & Son Chimney

Agree with the previous review. He's an opportunist and a jerk to boot. Uncomfortable to watch him deal with his assistant; he's too rotund to do any work himself besides steady a ladder. Stay away...

He quoted to put in a chimney liner for $1,500 which I agreeed. After 1/2 day of work, he wanted another $300 because the "work" gotten harder than expected. Ok...after some discussion, I finally agreed to $1,800 in total. I gave him a deposit of $1,000 for labor and materials he purchased. On the 2nd day, he wanted another $1,000 because, again, the "work" has gotten harder than expected. I finally refused to pay another $1000. He packed up his things up and left after leaving a big hole on the side of my house and left all his trash too. He kept my deposit and the materials I paid for. I finally had to hire another contractor to finish the job. It was cheaper than what I would have paid Robert Belmonte. There's a pending law suit against him. DON"T USE HIM FOR ANYTHING!!! He's very unprofessional!!!! The worst experence ever with a contractor.
