University Gables

This place is a dump! The tenants throw their trash out in the grass in front of the buildings, in the corridors that lead to the apartments, people are out hooping and hollering until 2 or 3 in the morning on week nights and weekends. The cops visit this place AT LEAST 3-4 times per day.



There is illegal drug use (and not just weed, more of the HARDCORE stuff like meth, coke, crack, heroin, Mollies, and more) sale and distribution going on here, underage drinking. 2 guys got robbed at the ATM of the Fifth Third Bank in the next parking lot over back in September, they were held at gunpoint and forced to withdraw cash from the ATM . It was all over News Channel 5 in Nashville search for it in google. This apartment complex is a breeding ground for crime, bottom feeders, white trash and trash of other demographics, drug use, fornication and underage drinking. There are parties at this place every single night with LOUD MUSIC until 3 am, you can't get any type of sleep at all.



Management only cares about your signature on the lease, and getting your money, after that, all bets are off. They selectively enforce their lease agreement, they don't do profile matching as their website states, then when you ask them about they claim they can't "discriminate" (but the profile doesn't discriminate! Management is just too lazy to actually match people up! ) The maintenance crews are great, if you have a problem, they are very quick to respond, friendly and get you taken care of within about an hour or two at the most. The amenities are nice, and tempting, the hot tub, pool, tanning bed, fitness room, game room, and free shuttle, and free cable are all very nice, but the free internet they offer SUCKS! It's slower than a quadraplegic turtle. It's offered by Pavlov Media, and it maybe works 10% of the time (usually way late at night around 3 am its at it's fastest) ,the rest of the time, you type in a website or click a link and it just sits there and comes up with page not found, or it takes 2 to 3 minutes for a page to load and that's very frustrating when you're trying to do homework and research!. I had the Pavlov tech out there 4 times in a month, and they still couldn't get it working right! Overall, the amenities don't make up for how much of a headache this place is! if you're looking for trouble, crime and you like living like trash, this is your place.



If you need any confirmation on this review, drive through there on a weekend about 11:30 pm at night (friday night or saturday night) and you'll see what I'm saying, you'll see cop cars, you'll hear loud music, you'll hear people outside yelling and screaming at each other. Drive through again about 6:30 am or 7:00 am on a Saturday morning and you'll see all the garbage of food wrappers, broken beer bottles and beer cans, littered everywhere. If you want the real statistics, call the Murfreesboro Police Department, and when you get dispatch, ask them how many calls a day they average at University Gables. Domestic violence, robbery, drugs, underage drinking, disturbing the peace, noise disturbance, assault, shootings. This apartment complex is the Little Memphis of Middle Tennessee.



Avoid this place like the plague! So not worth it! I broke my lease and got the **** out of there after 2 months and it was the best decision I ever made.
