Dr. Wong is the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at El Camino Hospital. He received his Bachelor of Science with Honors from Brown University and his medical degree from the University of Maryland in 1983. He did his Orthopedic residency at Hamot Medical Center in Pennsylvania. In addition, Dr. Wong completed specialty training in Sports Medicine at Duke University, Orthopedic Trauma at the University of California Davis, and Pediatric Orthopedics at the Shriners’ Hospital.

Dr. Wong is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and specializes in minimally invasive techniques for total joint replacement that can result in a faster recovery with fewer restrictions after surgery.

Dr. Wong specializes in a minimally invasive technique in total hip replacement called the anterior approach. Using a specially designed surgical table, surgeons can perform hip replacement surgery while leaving key muscles and soft tissues undisturbed. Physical Therapy
You will probably experience heightened discomfort at the injection site for a few days following treatment. Apply ice and elevate the treated area, if possible, but do not use anti-inflammatory medications for several weeks following your PRP injection. A week following treatment, you may begin a physical therapy regimen.
