The Road Commission of Macomb County, also known as RCMC, maintains more than 1,700 miles of roads with over 900 traffic signals and nearly 55,000 signs. Operational for approximately 90 years, it undertakes resurfacing, bridge replacement, patching and road construction projects. The commission operates administration and engineering departments. The Road Commission of Macomb County also manages a maintenance division that offers tree removal, pothole repair and litter pickup services. The commission has a staff of more than 300 employees. It additionally operates permit inspection, traffic and finance departments. The commission offers upgrade services for traffic signals and utilizes a radio-controlled technology. The Road Commission of Macomb County manages over 170 locations.
