Morris Granite Company is a family owned and operated marble and granite business with beginnings dating back to 1893. At Morris Granite, we strive to provide the very best value available in the marketplace. To this end, we have invested in technologically advanced machinery, and hired skilled craftsmen to produce the highest quality product. We do not subcontract any of the work to outsiders - we use our own employees for full control of the entire process. We also import slabs from around the world to give our clients the largest selection available right at our Morris, IL facility. Our normal inventory levels are over 1, 000 full-size slabs in approximately 60 colors. Clients are able to choose the EXACT slabs they want to use in their project. In addition to granite, marble, travertine and quartz, we also are a Kohler products dealer. We can provide many sink choices from stainless steel, cast iron and composite to custom made natural stone for any application or room. Our list of completed projects includes kitchens, baths, bars, desks, signs, statues and bases, reception areas, hospitality areas, buffet lines and conference tables. We appreciate the opportunity to contribute to each project, large or small. Our factory and main showroom is located at 1211 Armstrong Street in historic Morris, IL. We have an additional showroom at 817 E. Grove Street in Bloomington, IL. Both showrooms display our full line of products and ideas for all residential and commercial applications. Overall

I was looking to put together a small, portable kitchen island project and wanted to see what I could find for a countertop at a reasonable price. Talking to one of the designers at Home Depot in Bloomington, they referred me to Morris Granite saying they may be able to help me with a remnant piece to make it a little cheaper. I went into their store and was going to ask if they could help me. I told the man working, I believe it was the owner, the project I was working on and that I had been referred to them. He was rather short with me at first and demanded that I give him specs on the size I was looking for. I said that I wasn't sure yet and that I was just starting the project. After a few more exchanges with the man (each being a little more hostile than the last) I told him that I didn't need to do any business with him if we wasn't interested. I started heading for the door when the man flat out yelled at me. He made several statements about how I needed to "grow up and not be such a girl when answering somebody", "don't waste his f''''ing time if I don't know what I want." He threatened to call the cops on me after I stopped and told him that he was acting #$%# for being a business owner. Walking towards me, he actually locked me in his store and tried to act like a "tough guy". Eventually letting me out I left without trying to provoke him any further. This whole time, his receptionist just sat at her computer and didn't do anything or even look at me. The last thing he said after I was out the door is that "I would rather eat dog$#!t than do business with me". Well, I kind of have the same feeling about Morris Granite.

Overall

Excellent service . Our granite was chosen on a Wednesday , measured the following Tuesday and installed that Friday . And I love it ! The guys at Morris Granite were also great to work with . No regrets choosing Morris Granite

Overall

Dan Riccolo (owner of Morris Granite) agreed to remove and replace a granite countertop in my home. When the day came to do the work he backed out causing delays in my kitchen remodel. Very unprofessional individual/company.
