Services/Products
We are a co-therapy team that works intensively with couples in relationships, with intimacy and attachment issues. We utilize the Masters and Johnson model, focusing each Individual's contribution to the relational distress, as well as the interchanges within the relationship. We have worked extensively with couples over the past 30 years, throughout the United States, using the Intensive Treatment Model. Together, we developed an integrative program, combining a variety of psychotherapy modalities and a multidisciplinary team approach, including psychiatrists and attachment disorder specialists. We have over 30 years of experience lecturing nationally and internationally to over 50.000 therapists. Dr. Mark Schwartz is the former director of the Masters and Johnson institute as well as their trauma and dissociative disorders programs. We are founders of the Castlewood and Monarch Cove Treatment Centers, specializing in eating disorders, and trained directly by experts at Masters and Johnson for treatment of sexual dysfunction and lack of sexual desire and arousal. Clinical specialties include trauma and PTSD, including but not limited to sexual abuse and military sexual abuse. We are addictions specialists, including eating disorders, sexual addiction, codependency, chemical dependency, and self-harm. We are skilled in treating disorders related to intimacy and sexuality, and feature relationships, family-focused therapies. ā€¢Eating disorder ā€¢Treatment center ā€¢Obsessive compulsive disorder ā€¢Anxiety ā€¢Family therapy ā€¢Addiction ā€¢Compulsivity ā€¢Residential treatment facilities ā€¢Transitional living ā€¢Anorexia ā€¢Bulimia ā€¢Binge eating disorder ā€¢Alcohol treatment ā€¢Drug treatment ā€¢Heroin addiction ā€¢Sex addiction ā€¢Sex therapy ā€¢Marriage and family therapy ā€¢Psychotherapy ā€¢Mental health ā€¢Sober living ā€¢Addiction ā€¢Health ā€¢Specialists ā€¢Therapy ā€¢Counseling ā€¢Intensive outpatient program ā€¢Partial hospitalization ā€¢Learning ā€¢Problem solving ā€¢Developmental ā€¢Fundamental ā€¢Trauma ā€¢Self harm ā€¢Treatment resistant ā€¢Chemical dependency ā€¢Sexual compulsivity ā€¢Bipolar ā€¢Personality ā€¢Disorder ā€¢Healing ā€¢Meditation ā€¢Life changing

This program saved my life in so many ways. I got way more than I dreamed of and I am so grateful. The entire team was extraordinary. I left with tools to support me through my severe PTSD after surviving the Vegas mass shooting on Oct 1, 2017. The place of true healing is fierce. It is an art, it takes courage, it takes time, it takes patience, and it takes love. Thanks to Harmony Place for giving me so much love and hope. The group therapy, one on one therapy and all that goes along with this healing program was above and beyond what I had wanted to overcome my circumstances. I highly recommend Harmony Place & plan to return for more care.

Overall

I sent a loved one for treatment, under the direct care of Mark Schwartz and Lori Galperin at the Castlewood Treatment Center. She went in with a relatively minor eating disorder and left 4 months later much worse. She developed false memories of abuse and believed that she had Dissociative Identity Disorder (AKA multiple personalities). Our experience is very similar to claims made in several malpractice lawsuits against Dr. Schwartz that eventually settled out of court, probably for large sums of cash, but because the plaintiffs are held to a gag order there is no way to know. If you are looking for help with an eating disorder, or any type of mental health therapy I suggest that you do some research. Dr. Schwartz and Lori Galperin are starting over in Monterey, CA, but they have a long history behind them. Just google "The Most Dangerous Idea in Mental Health" by Ed Cara, or "Could It be Satan" by Deb Hipp, all the information you need to make a decision is out there, you just have to look.
