To start, I am in my early 30's and was at BVDC with my autistic 4 yr old daughter (her first cleaning, regular cleaning for me). I chose them because of a recommendation from a friend and proximity to my house. I arrived in during negative windchill, and a handicapped man was having a difficult time entering the building on his scooter. The reception staff didn't move so I immediately jumped up, helped him adjust the angle and assisted him to a chair. I filled out the forms and I believe it was Ann (based on website photos) that took them and was cordial but not at all friendly as one should be to a new client. The staff never ever looked up for that man, which bothered me, even though the room was freezing cold from the door being held open so long. When we were called back, we saw Zuzanna the Hygienist. I explained that my daughter had mild autism (she wasn't quite 4 yet, first dentist trip). She did my x-rays while my daughter sat on the floor of the hall and I thought she was very nice. Zuzanna did my cleaning, I thought SHE had a wonderful personality and was very informative. When it was my daughter's turn she was very helpful and tickled her finger with the brush, etc. She let me hold our ipad over her head while she cleaned to keep my daughter cooperative when she tried to bolt. My only "meh" is that I've had more thorough cleanings at my other dentist (Sorry Zuzanna!). Dr. Bruchs came in after. He was in the room for, at most, 5 minutes. I had questions about my impacted wisdom teeth and the 3 "baby" teeth I still have because the Xray looked concerning. He was dismissive of the wisdom teeth but told me that one of the "baby" teeth was starting to be absorbed at the root and was barely hanging on. He took a quick look at my daughter, then done. He was nice and cordial but clearly had somewhere else to be. In my opinion he could have taken the time to extract the "barely hanging on" tooth in question or told me to set up an extraction appointment, but he didn't. We left without a goodbye. Now 2 months later and that tooth is causing agony. I called and they said they could extract the tooth but that I would have to go to West Allis to see Dr. Berger for any type of bridge, retainer, or implant, etc. Their website boasts bonding, bridges, implants, and other cosmetic procedures, yet they actually offer NONE. Now I am scrambling to find someone who will extract the tooth and give me a consultation about how to replace it so my teeth don't shift. I will definitely be going back to see my old dentist and hygienist on Howell across from the airport.
They are not accepting new patients unless it's an emergency or extraction? Then why post on your website that you are >: (
I am recommending this dental office to everybody (adults and children)! My family (husband and 2 sons) and I have been patients here for four years. Dr. Krol's expertise and skills are unbelievable ( and I know what I am talking about because I am one of the many people who are scared of a dentist). As a a family we went through every possible dental procedure in this office: fillings, extractions, cosmetic dentistry and teeth cleaning. I am especially very happy with Dr. Krol's work on my bridge, which in my view is one of many proofs of Dr. Krol's and her partners' 21st century skills in cosmetic dentistry. I love to smile now!!! The other members of Dr. Krol's dental team who I have met at the front desk, Ann, Judy, and Kate, are friendly and professional. Erica and Jessie, the dental assistants, have always made me comfortable and answered all my questions. The office manager, Angie, was very helpful when I needed her expertise in explaining the payments. If you are looking for a great dentist and caring dental office staff I would recommend Dr. Krol and her team.
I have an appt in two weeks and I'm scared to death based on the reviews. I wish ppl would include the type of insurance they carry. I have come to believe, based on experience that adults and children on BadgerCare can expect to have a negative experience at the dentist office. Does any one know of a dentist who takes BadgerCare located closer to Fond du Lac?
I am one of those people scared to go to the dentist due to painful past dental procedures, but I was forced to go in due to extreme tooth pain lasting 2 weeks. When I finally couldn't stand the pain anymore, I called Bay View Dental, as they were a PPO with my insurance, and I was quite surprised when they got me in the same day. I was very nervous as I haven't been to the dentist in many years. I needed an extraction , which was 100% pain free. I was so pleased with the entire staff, and especially my dentist , I have agreed to continue to come back to have all of my teeth fixed, as they have been severely neglected because of my fear of the entire dental experience. I also have appointments for all 4 of my children to go there as well. Friendliest staff, and best dental experience ever. I am the biggest dental chicken you will ever meet, and I would highly recommend this business. I did not have to pay anything up front, and in fact took 5 months before I paid my kids bill with no harassment at all from the office. They were all very kind and understanding. Great place to go ! My dentist there is Dr.Thomas Bruchs, and he was amazing ! First dentist I trust completely ! Cheryl A.
I am never going back to this clinic again I had upper dentures put in about 2 yrs. ago and my eye teeth keep falling out , not once but 4X. They gave me such a hassle about bringing my teeth in I was literally ticked off!!! I told the receptionist what I thought and even went to the BBB. I am now going somewhere else for my dental work. Even though they tried to sweet talk me back into having my teeth fixed I politely told them NO THANKS and hung up on them!!! They also wouldn't take payments without a hassle either!!!
I was in need of fast service since I had a bad toothache, I hadn""t been to the dentist in years so I checked with my insurance coverage and found the Bay View Dental clinic was close by and accepted by insurance. I called and told them my problem and was able to get right in away. The staff was very caring and friendly. I was in and out in less than an hour even with the paper work. I tried to make a co pay payment but they told me to wait to see what the insurance covered.\r I work recommand this clinic very clean, friendly and efficient.\r Thank You Bay View Dental Care\r Cheryl S.
Nice Appointment! Everyone was very friendly and I felt comfortable. I had lots of questions and did not feel pressured to buy anything. I definately will be back!
I really enjoyed the service I recieved from this office. I was so nervous and the staff took their time to make me comfortable. Everything was explained to me before the work was started. They had no problems with answering my many questions (and it was many, due to nerves). The prices were very reasonable and they even offered an insurance plan within the office. I would recommend this office to all of my family and friends.
Earlier this week, I had a periodontal issue, I was pretty sure it wasn't serious but one can never be too careful and I had just read a story about someone dying from a dental infection. So I found them (as they're close to my house and I don't have a regular dentist) and called. The receptionist/hygienist that answered was extremely friendly and helpful. She told me the rates right up front ($55 for an exam, $22 for X-ray = awesome prices) and that was exactly what I was charged. \r \r When I arrived later that day, because they slotted me in a spot that same day, I was surprised by the clean and modern location. From some other reviews online I thought it would be a dump. It is far from it. The staff was courteous and friendly, we all chatted easily and even the dentist chatted with me about Europe and some other things. The exam of the situation took some 10 minutes after I had been X-rayed and waited maybe 3-4 minutes. The doc talked to me about it and prescribed anti-biotics and said I should see him in 2 weeks just to be sure it's all OK. Then I paid and was out the door, total turn around time 20 minutes (plus paperwork filling out time). \r \r They charged exactly what I expected, they did exactly what I expected. There was no extraneous work or even a push to become a member (they have this supplemental dental insurance as well I was told). He poked about, checked it out and then told me, pretty much what I suspected and prescribed exactly what I was going to ask for anyway (I have a degree in molecular biosciences). Overall, it was a great dental experience...that's saying something since it was my first in some four or five years. They'll probably become my main dental provider at this point.
