General Info

VA Medical Center (Miami), based in Miami, Fla., provides medical services, health care and outpatient treatment to United States veterans in the surrounding area. Services offered at the center include dental, neurology, substance abuse care, geriatric and surgical care. The medical center provides tertiary care that is highly specialized to address the needs of long-term treatment. More than 200 active research projects were recently conducted at the center. VA Medical Center (Miami) is affiliated with the VA Sunshine Healthcare Network, which includes medical centers in Tampa and West Palm Beach, Fla., and San Juan, Puerto Rico. All VA centers fall under the National Department of Veteran Affairs in Washington, D.C., the United States government cabinet department that addresses the issues and needs of the country s veterans and their families.
