RheumatologyBoth Dr. Cathy Riker and Dr. Amy Elliott are board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. They treat adults and geriatric patients at the clinic, regularly attend conferences to discuss or hear about new therapeutic aporoaches and regularly teach medical residents from Stanford. This combination of patient care, professional consultation and academic involvement ensures that the care provided at Menlo Medical Clinic is of the highest quality and employs the latest medical advancements in the field. If desired and appropriate, patients can also be referred to participate in current research studies at Stanford University Medical Center.
Pediatric CareBoth ENT physicians are extremely capable practitioners with years of experience handling a broad range of diseases and patient needs, with a particular interest in pediatric services. In addition to providing high quality, comprehensive care, the goal of this department is to educate patients thoroughly and to ensure that patients understand how to maintain their own health over time. Our physicians are deeply committed to communication and as such, consult with patients as well as other practitioners regularly. This means that patients can see either physician in our ENT Department and feel confident that their medical care will be coordinated.
Primary CareIf your Primary Care Physician is not at Menlo Medical Clinic, you must provide proof of referral upon scheduling your appointment.
Ear InfectionsOur physicians also believe in educating and counseling patients on environmental management for allergy and asthma control and offer a wide range of educational information. Our staff speak a variety of languages including English, Spanish, Filipino and Hindi.
Family PracticeAll of these physicians train for three years after medical school in their respective specialties and are eligible to be board certified. Pediatricians care for children and Internists care for adults. Family Medicine Physicians care for both children and adults. This way, any member of a family can go to the same physician for care.
Emergency CareA Menlo Medical Clinic physician is always on call for emergency care. If you need urgent medical attention after regular office hours, call 498-6500 and the appropriate physician will be alerted to your condition.
MammographyFor your mammogram - please bring any old films or arrange to have old films sent to us prior to your appointment. It is a good idea to check with your insurer ahead of time to assess the frequency for which they will cover mammograms. This is important because some insurance plans will not cover screening mammography if it is less (even by one day) than a year since your last study. You will be asked to remove deodorant prior to the mammogram.
UltrasoundFor your ultrasound - please follow the instructions carefully, which may include fasting or drinking water prior to your study.
MRIThe patient may be responsible for obtaining authorization from the health plan for some services such as physical therapy and MRI services.
RadiologyOur clinic has on site laboratory and radiology services, which include mammography and ultrasound. Since we are a multispecialty group, referrals can be made very easily. We consider our clinic to have a family like atmosphere where our staff gets to know patients on a personal level. Many of our patients have been coming to the Menlo Medical Clinic for more than 20 years.
